my leaf has an overall 4.4 miles per kw.The energI people report 7+ mpk.Is this correct?Is it figured different for a phev?

My guess is that they are looking at a different number. Not even the best hypermiler could get 7+ miles/kWh over the long term in an energi-type vehicle. I could see that number for km/kWh, but not miles/kWh. Otherwise they must be calculating something else. Perhaps it includes miles on gasoline as well as electricity, or some such thing.epic said:
