If it is anything like the BMW MC that used a similar concept in packaging, it should be quite safe relatively. The BMW managed to pass crash tests with a 4 star rating...

Hmmmm. They say the safety of a car. Maybe a bit more protection than a conventional motorcycle, but I'd sure hate to get T-boned.

Bah!.. it has two wheels, I want something with 2 legs like an Imperial All Terrain Scout..

If you watch the safety video they have a LEAF T-Bone the C-1. Are they trying to tell us something?

I noticed in the videos that they are driving around with no helmets. Being classified as a motorcycle, wouldn't you have to wear a helmet or does the roof somehow classify as head protection? Also, the stability demonstration showing the truck pulling it sideways seems contrived. It's being pulled from the wheels at the bottom which is already pretty stable. I want to see someone push it back and forth from the top and see what happens.

Yes, the enclosed cage is considered to be the same as a helmet as far as the law is concerned.

I can't help but notice that they never show any wide-angle shots of the actual vehicle. In any shot where you can see the wheels, it's either the mini model or a computer generated image.

I'm going to bring this forward in case Lit ever decides to produce the C-1 and sell it to the public. It's a very interesting concept, IMO. Here is their Facebook page, which is where they claim to be providing most updates.

Here is a cool video showing the primary capabilities:

At the very end, it looks like it is going to fall over after being pulled by the truck.

And a breakdown of costs:

It's a bit pricey, but still I think it will find a market if they can get it out there. Does anyone have a reservation?

Unfortunately for Lit, it appears that they now have competition coming on from Honda and Lingyun.
