I read somewhere the Nissan uses the AT&T 2G GSM network to send and receive communications from our cars. I believe they were using 2G which was supposed to be phased out by the end of 2016.
When we moved to this house 2 years ago we were using AT&T for cell phones. We found that AT&T cell phones would not work here. We would get no bars our house and AT&T GSM for alarm systems also got no signal so we had to switch to Verizon CDMA phones and Verizon CDMA cellular communicator for home alarm. This makes me suspect that perhaps Nissan changed something since our car communicates fine.
Does anyone know for sure which cellular provider Nissan is using?
