Hi,

Another rear defrost issue…

The rear defrost is not working, what I know is I get power from passenger side connector that connects to the tab. If only the passenger side connector is connected I get power all the through to the other side of the grid and driver side tab, however if I connect the driver side connector to the driver side tab it seems to lose power on the driver side. Does this mean it’s grounding out somewhere? Any suggestions or ideas

Thanks

If you are measuring approximately 12 volts to ground from the passenger side terminal and all the way through the element to the driver side terminal with driver side wire disconnected and then measure approximately 0 volts to ground at the driver side connector after reconnecting the wire, then the circuit is probably intact. Do you still measure approximately 12 volts to ground at the passenger side terminal after reconnecting the driver side wire?
