    Low weight rim suggestions

All, I am looking for a new set of low weight rims for our other Leaf Plus. Besides the EV01+ from fast wheels (which we have in our other Leaf Plus), any other suggestions?

Using Heat plus AC seems more efficient

With temps dropping into minus F territory this week, I finally used the heat on my 2019 SV+. I think I asked about this once before, but it seems like when you use heat +AC it draws less power (per screens) than heat alone. I leave the inside temp at 60 F, and draw with heat Plus AC is...

    2024 Leaf Plus efficiency

Board Anyone buy a new 2024 Leaf Plus yet? If so, any observations on whether the modest aero improvements help much efficiency wise? The Leaf Blue is still one of my favorites blues out there. Just wish there was a future for Chademo or an adapter.....and the federal tax credit.

    Chrysler Pacifica k,

Ok Was in LA this week. We rented a Pacifica PHEV. I haven't driven too many PHEVs (pretty much this and the Outlander), so my comparison points are minimal. Overall, it drove like a normal minivan, except ground clearance was very low. Even in and out of garages often caused some...

    Sailun eRange tires

So I have the eRange tires on the 2019 SV+ now. I was away for a week (tested a Bolt), so got to this a bit later than expected. The eRange tires cost my $108/piece from Walmart on sale. 205/55/r16. I took an initial loop at 60mph for 4.7miles/kWh (63F ambient) which was close to my...

    Best tires for efficiency

My son curbed my.SV+ (with ev01s) and took a chunk out of the ecopia sidewall. It looks like it is holding air, but not sure I would trust it for distance. The tires are 4 years old, so thinking of replacing the set. Has anyone found any tire to be more efficient than the ecopias...

S+ Efficiency vs. SV+ Efficiency testing

Ok, this is the first of 2 posts related for side by side testing of our S+ and SV+, both 2019s. My son is back from college and so had the extra driver to do the tests. We recently moved the SV+ from the OEM 17" Michelins to 16" CrossClimate2s on the OEM 16" Leaf rims. The test circuit...

    Propilot and steering

We recently moved our SV+ to the stock S+ 16" rims. The steering didn't lighten up like we experience in our S+ (now with EV01+ rims). I am beginning to hypothesize that the augmentation if propilot adds a bit of sluggishness to the steering. My adult children both comment that they only...

Leafs beat Telsas in daily efficiency

    EV spotting in Israel

Forum, I recurrent returned from a week and a half trip to Israel. (Visiting my son who is doing a service year in Tel Aviv working with refugee kids) We visited a few cities in the country and here was my ev spotting. Hybrid - really not interesting, but the Kia Niro Hybrid and Hyundai...

Any other US based EVs with larger trunk sections?

[MOD: split off https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=22748&start=980#p617423] Remote heat is why my wife fell in love with our 2013. While she likes the torque, steering wheel heater, and a few other things..its the remote heat still as feature number 1. Even better, remote heat...

Skokie IL to Lawrence KS and back road trip report

Forum, I will try to keep this trip report brief, but we don't have too many reports on 500+ mile in a day drives, and as this one had 2 of them, I thought it was worth the write up. We took a different route in each direction. Summary: Outbound 564 miles; 156.4 kWh charged; 180 min...

Trip Report - Skokie (North of Chicago) to Bloomington Indiana and back

Quick trip report -Skokie Illinois to Bloomington Indiana. Total Distance: 561 miles Car: 2019 SV+ with tech and winter package. Stock tires and 17" alloy rims at 44psi This is hardly notable anymore, but I always enjoy others' trip stories. We headed out from Skokie in the afternoon. The...
