The official "I got my Leaf" thread

Congrats. We are 11 years into Leafs, but moved to Gen 2 in 2019 from a 2013.

    Low weight rim suggestions

Thank you, and yes highway range is main consideration. Every watt taken off of cruising consumption reducing charging need(for the 600 miles in a day) and improves pack cooling (what little there is) as draw is reduced.

    Chicagoland area

Any cybertruck sightings yet? I have seen many Hummers and Lyriqs as well, I do believe those shipments have gone way up recently.

    100 kW Charging

We have 2 Leaf Pluses. One I charge at home foe commuting, and another that my daughter uses at college and only DC charges. Both 2019s. The DC charged Leaf has 4% higher SoH after similar miles.

    100 kW Charging

My.experience is ypu cam do about 1.5 DC charges in warm weather or 2 in cooler weather without much fall off of charging rate. I have had some trips where I above 50KW for 3 back to back charges, but lots of variables to unpack there.

Feature requests/input for MUXSAN 45kWh replacement LEAF battery

With my eco tires and low.weight rims, I only needs just a few more degrees of cooling between DC charging. Even a small improvement would be a great help at least psychologically.

    The 62kWh Battery Topic

    The 62kWh Battery Topic

I have a lazy cell that acts the same. Off about 40-42mV at hogh SoC and maybe 20 at low SoC.

    Low weight rim suggestions

All, I am looking for a new set of low weight rims for our other Leaf Plus. Besides the EV01+ from fast wheels (which we have in our other Leaf Plus), any other suggestions?

    100 kW Charging

Any hope that with the new ccs/Chademo adapter we could get 250+ amps from the ccs chargers? (Instead of the singular chademo at the Nissan USA headquarters which can charge the Leaf at 100KW).

    100 kW Charging

On a level battery at.evgo, I will.usually.see upper 70s below 30% SoC (dash). The above.was from another Leaf driver at a very special Chademo station.

    Bargains on 2023 Leafs

Local dealer has 24 Leaf SV+ marked down to 26K before any tax or local rebates. Not a bad price.

    Kona EV 2024

So my latest Hertz rental was a Kona electric. This nearly completes the Hertz ev tour (Niro, M3, and Bolt prior). Of.the 4 rentals, that was head and shoulders the most efficient of the EVs I have rented. My average was 5.3 miles/kWh over the few days. Local driving saw efficiency over 6 a...

Range loss with and without mountain bikes/rack - ODBII logs - 2018 LEAF SL

4% is 8-9 miles of freeway range. But some of that efficiency is also reduction in unsprung weight. Stock 16" rims are 4lbs less than 17" stock rims each. The tires are also each 1.5lbs less each..

Evaluations of Ariya appreciated from owners who also have had Leafs.

Has anyone changed out the rims on their Ariya yet. I am thinking of getting a mid tier Ariya (evolve or engage) + eforce) , and putting on low weight 18" rims (vs. 19" stock) with eco tires.
