I regularly see a Tesla with 'EV PWR' as the number plate all the time. I also see a couple of LEAFs in the neighborhood. My friend recently leased a Red Nissan LEAF. This morning saw a Silver LEAF driving on Loop 12 at 183 and I waved and got a wave back.
