Good info! I had my PDM replaced and the software upgrade in July and did not realize that this is a newer update. I will make an appt. as well!

It has been awhile since I checked in but I got a reminder in the mail today. Today Nissan sent me a letter to take my vehicle in to get the software update. Somewhere they didn't see that my car was in their shop for over 3 weeks getting a new module. I may call the dealer to double check though.

If you are having the issues outlined in the posts in this thread please make sure to insist on the Software Update as a first stab at a solution. If the dealer acts like they don't know what you are talking about drive to the next dealer. Try the software update first and then insist on a PDM...

It's hard to tell how many are bad. Clearly there are many of us here that have had the issue and we represent a small fraction of the Nissan Leaf ownership community so I am certain many that haven't posted are also having the issue. For some the software fix did the trick. I am thinking that...

I am a big fan of the technology and these cars and despite not having the vehicle for 3 weeks I will still recommend the car to anyone who asks. I hope this solution is the end of the story.

My understanding is that the software and and the new replacement part came together. It was one of the things my service manager verified before releasing the car back to me. I do not have Carwings either.

After getting my car back yesterday I put about 40 miles on it and charged it via Level 1 overnight. Charged to 100% and no error codes. I will keep monitoring the posts here as it appears the fix may ultimately be a software update for most.

Great question. They replaced the PDM (part 292C0-3NF8A) and re-did the coolant. Hours of labor 7.5 Codes that popped when there was an issue were: P316C P3170 P1371

Got my Leaf returned to me this morning and stuck it on the charger an hour ago. No issues... yet... Will report back tomorrow. If there was any day to test it this would be the day. The temperature was over 115 degrees and the battery temp was 1 bar from being in the red.

Just an update - Tomorrow June 28th marks 3 weeks in the shop. Latest date given to me is that I may not receive the car back until July 17.

I don't think it is isolated to LV2 charging as my problem occurred on LV1 which is how I charge my car in my garage. My service manager shared with me that they do have the part and they are installing it on Monday but he isn't sure if it was delivered with the software update and isn't...
