I too bought an used 2013 LEAF recently (described couple weeks ago on this thread). I think you got a very good deal. However it's the first time I have heard of a SL w/out rear camera. How is that possible? It has navigation ... the screen is already there to accept the video from a cheap...

    Another 2013 Leaf S from a dealer, w/QC and other options, 12 bars, even cheaper at $11,000 (but has 28,000 miles): http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ctd/5006704829.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is the same car (with QC) with slightly higher mileage by a dealer at asking price of $12,000 (so one could probably buy it for a bit less than $12,000): http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/ctd/5002657074.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Maybe prices are going down...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

I did not know about Nissan firming up the suspension for the 2013. That explains why I feel the car being more bouncy, I thought it was because of the newer car with tires pumped up. That's too bad, I would rather have a smoother ride. But I do like the new Eco mode. A note about tires...

Leaf Price / Discount discussion thread

It's been over 2.5 years since I leased my 2012 Leaf. After 2.5 years, all things considered, I can say the Leaf is the best car I have ever owned in my life. Briefly, the reasons are: pollute less than 40% of an ICE car, very fun to drive, very reliable, zero maintenance, very cheap to lease...

Why would you not lease right now?

$2500 from California is for new cars only. Otherwise you and I can sell a used $100 EV back and forth to each other 1000 times and receive $2.5 million dollars from the state. That would be fun! This is the web site we go to to apply for the rebate, but it must be a new car (purchased or...

Why would you not lease right now?

Thank you for the comment about 2014's Lizard battery. I have not kept up with Leaf battery news and did not know about the Lizard battery. You probably already know this, the 2013 I just purchased has 10 more miles in range than the 2012. Has anyone heard any thing bad about the 2013...

Why would you not lease right now?

Here is the lease deal I signed couple weeks ago at Sunnyvale Nissan: 36m/45k: $3000 (the value of my trade-in) + $250/mo x 35 payments = 3,000 + 8,750 = $11,750 (so, -$2500 from Calif. = $9,250 net cost for 3 years 45k miles) It's my understanding others here have gotten better deals in the...

Why would you not lease right now?

Last couple days (Oct 25-26, 2012) Sunnyvale Nissan received 7 LEAFs. They were all immediately sold (i.e. leased). If you got your LEAF from them, would be great if you could share with us your exact deal terms.

2011, 2012 Nissan Leaf Leasing Information

Check to see if they want any other "drive off" fees? Assuming you mean the following: (227.35 x 1.0875) x 36 + 1600 = $10,500 for 36m/45k That is not too bad IMO. Some on this forum have gotten it as low as $9,300 for 36m/36k I was only able to get them down to $11,500 for...

First day with my Leaf, first low battery warning

Thank you for your feedback dgpcolorado. Did Nissan disclose any other improvements for the 2013 model in addition to the 6.6 kw charger? For example, is it likely they will have a battery with a longer range? Also, I am not very technical, what you are saying is the 6.6 kw charger for 2013...

First day with my Leaf, first low battery warning

I was planning to start a 36 months lease of a LEAF this week. After reading some of this thread, I think I am going to wait for the 2013 model.

First day with my Leaf, first low battery warning

OMG, that was your first day! I was planning on leasing my first LEAF next week. Maybe I should wait for the 2013 model. I too live on top of very long and steep hill and I am used to running the A/C and heating 100% of the time. Let's hope the range of this class of EVs can double in 3-5...

2011, 2012 Nissan Leaf Leasing Information

Congratulations madbrain. I don't think you did too bad at $11,146 for 39m at 12k/year given current market conditions in the SF south bay. Were you able to understand why inventories dried up in the past 2 to 3 weeks? My gut tells me it's because these cars are made in Japan and the next...

Why would you not lease right now?

Was the following everything for your SL lease deal of 39m/36k ? $2900 init + $139 x 39mo = 2900 + 5421 = 8,321 Any other drive-off fees, taxes, and trade-ins? Give us all the details so we can compare apples-to-apples. In my area the local dealers are out of inventories this week...
