Just throwing out a high 5 to fellow LEAFers... we finally have L3 charging working in Chicago. After owning my leaf for 2+ years, I finally used the quickcharge port a couple of weeks ago. I was able to turn on the heat and charge at the same time, and I went from about 20% to 60% in about 11...

FYI I can verify that as of this weekend, the 350Green L3 stations are still not accepting ChargePoint cards. I'm hoping this will be a simple software update for Car Charging, Inc. now that they have completed the acquisition.

I'm sorry for being dense, but I still don't understand who is supposed to be generous. Is it the credit card company? Or the electric utility? Property owners? Taxpayers? Or is ChargePoint supposed to pay all of these people and just pick up the tab out of the kindness of their hearts...

Whether or not the initial capex was subsidized doesn't matter much; the equipment still has a limited lifespan. This means that in addition to paying for the electricity, space/lease, administration, transaction fees, and the thousands of other "little things" required to bring you charging...

On the oasis charging stations... the issue has never been that they are on in the physical sense. Indeed they appear to be functioning fine until you waive your Charge Point / Car Charging fob to find it does nothing and call the number on the screen to have nobody answer. Unless you were...

If the city/state/feds want to save face here, they can take a tiny fraction of the remaining 20% in the grant and just turn on the "broken" stations; make them free. The electricity cost would be negligible and it would at least help them avoid some of waste of taxpayer dollars (these things...

Sadly, none of the L3 chargers in Chicagoland appear to be working despite the fact that they show up in the Carwings system. 350Green is a joke, fly-by-night operation. They delivered less than 20% of what they were supposed to after eating through 80% of the city contract funds.

    CharJit card?

Just an FYI to fellow Chicago LEAFers... I emailed them early Monday morning and have yet to hear back. I'm guessing these guys skipped town once the city coffers ran dry.

    CharJit card?

Thanks guys! I'm going to give them a buzz tomorrow to see what's up. I was able to dig up some articles from several months ago that seemed to indicate that 350green was having troubles making good on its commitments (read: ran out of money). If that was the case however, you'd think they...

    CharJit card?

Yeah, that just seems kinda silly and all. Considering the sheer number of charging stations these guys have installed, you would think the company would make a better effort at sales than having people email them,

    CharJit card?

I happened across a of level-3 charger in Chicago today, checked 350green's website and sure enough it's theirs. Only problem is that I cannot seem to figure out how to buy a CharJit/350Green card so I can use this station. There are lots of references to 350green.com/card on the web but that...
