Tony - SPOT does have some trouble sending it's messages when you're winding through the trees like you are now. My hiking friend had the same trouble with hers when she was in canyons or on the side of mountains. It will improve by the time you get to Scotia/RioDell.

I can confirm that....he turns off the spot when stopped for any length of time. Then it's back on as he starts up again. BTW, I have a LOT of video on my computer that Tony was unable to get uploaded. If his son is reading this, can you contact me? ([email protected]) ~Linda

Spent the night at an RV park in Big Sur. He's still there...nos surprising since he was probably setting up their tent at midnight!

LEAFer, Rather than SLO, Tony's coming on out to Morro Bay for a fill-up in my garage! That should get him more easily to San Simeon before his assault on the Big Sur coast. They'll get lunch out of the deal if they get here in time. :)

Yes, I left my LEAF for 14 days with the 110V trickle charger plugged in in my garage. (BTW, that is what Nissan recommended I do). All was fine when I returned home. Each night the car charged back up to 80% in <5 min (if I remember correctly). The 12V battery was unaffected. I will be...

Pardon my ignorance, but I have NO idea what you are all talking about. I thought outlets came in 110 and 220 V. What are all those other numbers? And should I care? (My ESVE is a J1772 in my garage.)
