Wow, I got my "coming soon" email from Nissan today. Called customer service and got my VIN (#4338)! They say it was invoiced to dealer yesterday, should be in transit. Can't wait!

Strange how different the 'waiting game' experiences are. I ordered early December, got Blink in 6 weeks ago, now have had June 24 estimate for 4 weeks. No change in date at all, which makes me wonder whether it is real!

Didn't order logo myself. BTW (thread hijack??) anyone see today's article in the Oregonian about lack of public chargers AND lack of Oregon orders for the Leaf? I suppose they want/need to make things 'newsworthy' but the suggestion there is not a lot of interest in the Leaf here ticked me off...

Add me to the frustrated list!!! I reserved 4/28/10. Wasn't allowed to order until 12/08/10 but did so right away. Got the "4-7 months" spiel. Also told (as part of ecotality project) that I'd get charger just before getting car. Well, as of 4/21/11 have a charger sitting in my garage going...

Yeah, that's what they initially said, but that doesn't seem to be true anymore. :roll:

It seems like wait times continue to be all over the place. I reserved 4/28/10 and could only order 12/10 and got moved from April to May to July 2011 for "order status". Yet I have a shiny new Blink charger as of today sitting in my garage! Wish I had something to charge with it . . . .;(

Thanks for your thoughts; that is interesting about possible credit even with the lease. I'll ask the dealer too!

Question for other Oregon Leafers: Have you run the numbers for purchase vs lease taking into account the Oregon tax credit? Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't know how that credit would change the calculation. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or comments.

Also did the test drive at Solar World today. It was fun. Overall impression of the car was it was unremarkable, a nice version of a 'normal' car you'd see from Toyota or Honda or Nissan. Acceleration was a nice bonus. Electronic gizmos and stuff will keep it interesting and 'current', at least...

Fellow Oregonians . . .have you figured out how the Oregon $1500 tax credit works as far as the buy vs. lease debate goes? Thanks in advance for any insights!
