Did anybody happen to see the Nissan Land Glider concept? It's a 2 seater tandem (one behind the other) that leans in corners... looks pretty cool. I guess it'd be like a motorcycle but out of the weather.

I agree. I would not pull my brand new Nissan Leaf into a gas station and swap for someone's old and possibly mis-used batter pack. This would only work if you had some sort of subscription plan and never actually 'purchased' a battery pack, because then people wouldn't care about swapping it...

Here's a good one. Nissan is touring around North America with the Leaf so that people in the US and Canada can see it for the first time. They are going to be in Vancouver BC in December 2009.... why didn't they come a month later when the Olympics would be here? They'd get huge worldwide...

At what point are hybrid cars not good anymore? Fuel prices are creeping up again, maybe Chevy is concerned that if fuel prices continue to rise, it won't matter if you can get 100MPG out of a car... it will still cost more than it would to charge up a fully electric car?

Fact: Regenerative breaking is actually part of the motor. The motor turns into a generator, which takes 'effort' to turn, thus slowing down the car and generating power toe re-charge the batteries.
