Looking for bulk Lease deal on Nissan Leaf in Atlanta

Wow, I haven't checked the site in a while and I was shocked at the increase in lease cost. I got my wife's SL in 12' for 2yr, 12k, $0 down, $270 a month from Athens. At the time I had an offer from Suthenland for $0, $249 but they ran out of cars. Is part of the bump because of the tax...

    chargebox portable CHAdeMO

Has anyone seen this? http://ecomento.com/2014/06/02/portable-electric-car-fast-charger-launched-by-designwerks/ http://design-werk.ch/#!portfolio-item/chargebox The price makes it unaffordable for personal use but I'm surprised how shockingly small it is compared to existing CHAdeMOs I've...

    2015 LEAF specs

We were in our local dealership last week renting a car and talking about our lease which is up in Jan. They told us to come back in two weeks for some dealing because the '15s would be on the lot. We'll see.

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

Has anyone had their fuse blow while charging? I had one of the phases blow today. It nearly blew the cap off and had heat damage on the protected side of the holder. I guess the fast acting wasn't fast enough. The second phase fuse was deformed but didn't blow. I checked for shorts, replaced...

Any Leafs delivered to Georgia yet?

It seems the number of Leafs is really picking up in the Roswell Area. We'd normally see another Leaf once a week and it's of the blue persuasion but lately it's every other day. Just yesterday there were two red ones in front of us on Jones Bridge and a white one on 400 this morning. I...

Any Leafs delivered to Georgia yet?

I'm glad you had a good experience at Regal but I had completely the opposite. Regal is literally right next to my house so I wanted to do business with them because it was so convenient but their prices were not even in the same ballpark as the other dealers I looked at. Sure they were super...

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

QueenBee, I agree, the board is beautiful. I got mine a couple weeks ago but finally got it assembled yesterday. At first I was trying to use a smaller enclosure. My plan was to mount the relay on its side and use flag terminals so everything was nice and compact but I didn't account for the...

    Anyone in Georgia?

Earlier in this thread someone mentioned Blink started charging at Lenox but we had not seen it until today. Lenox isn't a long haul for us but it's long enough that we need a little juice so we plugged in as usual. When we returned to the car at 1 hour 5 minutes we were charged for 2 hours...

    Anyone in Georgia?

I was surprised too. .04 is dirt cheap. Here are the Rate Plans and you're right, less than 1000kWh is a little more. .053 Standard http://www.georgiapower.com/pricing/files/rates-and-schedules/2.10_r-19.pdf Night & Weekends...

    Anyone in Georgia?

I said 0.264 for an hour to make it comparable to charging for an hour on Blink. 3.3kWx 0.08 = 0.264 I was using the more expensive summer rate but I forgot they increased the rates this year. So here are the corrected plan and seasonal rates compared to Blink at an hour of charging. Georgia...

    Anyone in Georgia?

My wife was at Lenox yesterday and the blink was free on guest login. We're still waiting on our blink card but I doubt we'll use it unless it's an emergency. The blink rate is just too high. $0.264 for an hour at home vs. $1.50 on blink. She's also been talking to management at every place she...

Not much in the way of local inventory

My experience with Regal was two weeks ago. Very high quotes and they would not budge. All of the other dealerships I talked to were offering the low leases and the cars were flying off the lots but Regal still had five. The other dealerships were trading cars for more leafs and shipping them in...

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

Thanks. I also found this one which is a little pricier Hopefully this will do a better job than my crimper. I've never gotten very pretty crimps.

The EV Project Expands to Atlanta

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. Free is great but $1.50 an hour is worse than gas for my ICE. At 6.6kW it would be more reasonable. It's nice to have it in an emergency but I'd rather have something for everyday use.

The EV Project Expands to Atlanta

The blink map says these chargers are free but the blink site says $1.50 an hour for Blink Basic Users. I've never used one, which is it?

Can someone recommend an inexpensive ratcheting crimper for the spade terminals? I'd like something under $50 bucks. It will go mostly unused but I still don't want to buy a piece of garbage. Thanks, -Bill

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

I may have missed it, this thread has gotten so long :) Has anyone thought about building a model for a custom enclosure and using a service like http://www.shapeways.com? I'm not a modeler but I imagine the enclosure could be made more compact and include all the necessary mounts internal...

    As of December 1st incentives....

I talked to Suthenlin Nissan today and they are offering SLs @ 224+tx/m, $0 down 24 months until Jan 3rd. Suthenlin is a bit out of the way for me but Regal Nissan was quoting 264+tx on a 39 month. They didn't even quote a 24 because the monthly was so high.

    As of December 1st incentives....

Do you know if there is a dealer incentive that has expired? The reason I ask is several people have gotten 0 down/$234 @24 months in the GA area. I've called those dealerships and they've sold out of cars. They told me they'd have cars in next week and they'd call me back. I spoke with...
