Anyone from Central Florida here? I know there is a Florida thread, however most of them are from South Florida. I was hoping to meet some local EV enthusiast, maybe plan a meeting. I live in East Orlando, close to UCF.
I agree. I had my taxes done recently and was able to claim my $7,500 tax credit. If all your deductions and 7,500 tax credit are greater than your tax liability, then you should get refunded whatever you paid in taxes for 2011.
To be honest, I have never used a charging station off of charge point. Most of my charges are done at home. I don't have to charge at work, but I do b/c I can. But I have noticed that there are plenty of places to plug into that are not on charge point.
How far away is work from your...
At the risk of being called a "power poacher", I thought it would be helpful to make a list of available "off grid" (as in, not on chargepoint or similiar site) but available 120v outlets in the area. I'm making this specific to Central Florida, so if you would like to do this for another area...
I did pay a destination charge, not sure how much though. Did not have to negotiate for MSRP, was $37,250 Sutherlin Nissan. I called them first because they are close to my residence, and decide to work with them because they offered MSRP.
I checked out the pics, looks like it be worth the drive. Although, I'll have to find a place to charge along the way.
[edit] I just googled the milage, about 180 miles. that'll be pushing it. maybe there is something like it closer to home.
I got mine Dec 17th from Sutherlin Nissan at MSRP. Although I haven't seen others, I was told be John Leone (salesman at Sutherlin Nissan) that he sold, I believe it was about 10 others. Whatever the number, it was a small amount, and most of those went to OUC.
The company that installed the...
1) I'm guessing since I don't know have the product in hand to check, but I figure it's probably 1.7-3.5amps (I base that on 20-40 watts for portable dvd players).
2) unfortunately the owner's manual does not indicate what else is on the fused circuit. Or at least I can't find it.
I was thinking of changing the fuse, but the owner's manual says...
"CAUTION - Never use a fuse of a higher or lower amperage rating than that specified on the fuse box cover. This could damage the electrical system or cause a fire."
I mean, it sounds like a 'CYA' statement, but I didn't want...
I'm wondering if it's possible to change my factor installed ceiling mounted light switch with a ceiling mounted DVD player. I'm worried that it may not work since the light bulb is listed as 8watts (not sure what the fuse is), and the DVD player requires 12v DC. Does anyone have any...
Hopefully someone can help me out here. I want to change my CARWING Nickname? Currently it says "MyLeaf", and even in CARWINGS rankings, I'm listed as "MyLeaf". In my attempt to change it, I have logged on to my Nissan Owners portal, and under "MANAGE ACCOUNT" tab, "CARWINGS Information"...
Yes, in fact I have a copy in my car. It's great for when I'm not driving. I tried to come up with some simple calculations for when I'm driving. I tried it this morning using the avg miles/keg value. After about the 5th series, it got a lot easier to mentally calculate it. My value was...
Since getting my Leaf about 2 wks ago I've been perturbed by the GoM number, which never really reflects my normal driving habits. When I hop into my Leaf in the morning after a full charge (I no longer do full charge, but I was initially), I'm excited to see GoM number showing 104 miles...
