2013 Nissan LEAF with a Spare tire and no Trunk space lost!

I pulled the trigger and got 350Z rims for my Leaf, the 18" 6 spoke ones from 2003. They look awesome, all the other Leafs look wimpy in comparison. This wheel is much bigger so I'll have to scare up a 350Z spare and pull the trigger on that and mount it underneath. Totally rad man.

Hack to get rid of low speed creep

I have a 2012, 62,000 km on it now, I just lost one bar down to 11 a few months ago, that's pretty good. I hope my batteries will last 10 years which is what I was aiming for. Now on to the complaints, things I don't like that would make me want to buy a new car rather than sticking it out with...

    Towing a Trailer

I bought the Curt wiring system last year and finally got around to installing it today. It is the system that plugs in to the plugs by each tail light. It doesn't work despite following the instructions exactly. What to do now? Edit: nevermind, I connected the cable to the negative instead of...

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

I finally got round to installing this Curt wiring system and it doesn't work. I installed it exactly as instructions stated. Great, I bought it last year so I'm sure the return is now expired, and I'm out $100, and I need it next weekend. Now what do I do? Does anyone have suggestions for a...

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

I agree. I got an add-a-circuit and I should be able to tap into the fuse box on left of dashboard so I shouldn't have to poke through the firewall. But I still have to rip up all the panelling to the back to run the wire, a bit of a pain.

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

Yeah that seems strange to wire to the battery. I don't get these add-a-circuits. I don't understand how you can add an additional fuse to an existing circuit without screwing up the circuit you are adding to.

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

Actually I found the fusebox to the left of the dash while taking off some panelling. I will try that, thanks

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

wow there's no way I'm getting through that grommet, it's super tight. I love how the instructions for the trailer wiring are all so specific, except of course on how to run the wire to the front of the car, providing no guidance and only the statement that it will be different for every car...

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

A big thanks! I'll see what I can find. This penetration location would also be useful info to know since I always wanted to run a wire to hook to a kill switch for the motion whistle speaker which is kind of annoying sometimes, but I'll keep the noise on in places where safety warrants it.

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

I know, but this one uses direct battery power, as well as tapping into the rear light harnesses.

Running wire from the 12V battery to back of car

I just bought a Curt trailer wiring converter and it requires that I run a power wire all the way from the positive terminal of the battery to the back of the car where the module is going to be located. They give no specifics on how to run this wire. How to I get the wire through from the trim...

I'm tired of eco mode in my 2013 Leaf S

I'm young and drive aggressively. I like that I can rest my foot on the gas pedal and not have the car take off like a rocket. I don't mind pushing down all the way when I want power. Eco is for me!

How to remove rear tow hook?

Instructions from the hitch I bought. Ya ya ya they say taking acid is bad for you too, you gotta live your life. It's only to carry a bike rack ... and maybe a boat...

How to remove rear tow hook?

I think I'll just take it to a mechanic with an impact wrench.

I'm tired of eco mode in my 2013 Leaf S

I never drive in D and I always now have to hit the shift knob twice to get into it from neutral. I always drive in Eco because I like lots of regen when I take the foot off the pedal, and I don't like the instant jump when you hit the pedal in D. What really irritates me, and I've had my car...

How to remove rear tow hook?

I am trying install a trailer hitch and the instructions say to "remove rear tow hook"". Easy to say, not so easy to do! They have these 16 mm square nuts on that seem to be embedded into the metal at each corner. How the H do I remove them? I can wrench as hard as I can with a 16 mm wrench but...

US oil production will jump by a quarter by 2014

It is the oil industry itself that uses this `production`term, and they know full well that it isn`t `produced`. It`s just a term they use. The problem is, economists also use the term `produce`in their little supply / demand charts. They look at the oil industry that supposedly "produces" oil...
