    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

As a scientist who works with the concept of percentages every day, my own opinion is that if you are in the 1% of Leafers with a severe problem in Arizona (or I believe a more accurate figure of 30% of Leafers with the capacity loss problem), its still a problem that needs to be addressed. No...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Or, the 1% are sticking it to the 99%, then claim the 99% actually the 1%. That's the political scientists making believe they are scientists, twisting the numbers to suit their purposes. It would be funny if it didn't hurt so bad.

Totally agree with that, an attempt, unknown how successful this will be though.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

While it is not formally the Lemon Law, so far as I know they are following the lemon law protocol, i.e., calculation based on all fees paid out minus depreciation of mileage driven. If it looks like a lemon, tastes like a lemon, it's a .....

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Yesterday I contacted Nissan Finance Department for a quote on how much it would cost to end lease early, after driving car for 13 months. I was quoted the fee of $3000 dollars. On April 15, less then two months ago, I contacted them 11 months and 2 weeks into the lease, and they quoted me...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Your truly magic graph will not grant me the magick I seek, to return to the day when the car was anew, and a 107 number graced my fully charged GOM (Nissan pseudo magick), minus the 2% a year promise. I was naive back then, I know that now. But still, I dream.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

2nd bar loss this morning, first bar reported about 2 months ago (in Wiki). 10,100 miles! Given my loss of battery capacity, I might just drop my yearly Leaf mileage (due to range loss, and lack of opportunity to charge on the fly) from 10K a year to the Nissan normed average of 7,500. At least...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

My take on Andy Palmer interview several days ago In the Andy Palmer interview, he states that since the average driving of an Arizonian Leafer is 7500 a year, it will lose near what was originally promised, only 24% in the first five years (instead of only 20%). "to be clear, I'm answering...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I recently had a bar capacity loss and reported it here. I have some questions about what to do with the fact that I am not able at this time to drive to my routine destinations for which I purchased the vehicle, and that over the next 12 months, this is likely to become much worse. I...

    Capacity bar disappears, then reappears

Over several weeks my capacity bars went from 12 to 11 back to 12 back to 11 back to 12. Then I brought in for my year service two days ago at 12, when I got it back from Nissan dealer back to 11 for a day (more then before). Nissan report stated it was 11 during their battery check. The main...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

on a positive note, their stating it is a measure of driving habits is assurance that they will not formally blame me if it comes to a legal challenge of sorts, since it states in writing "its not my fault".

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

My 2011 Leaf has officially lost one bar. It happened yesterday. Coincidentally, I was due for my 12 month evaluation at Nissan. When I picked the car up this afternoon after being serviced, the service guy says, “the battery test results indicate your battery is in great condition, here you...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I live in Phoenix. Car is parked outside during the day, in garage at night. Owned for almost a year. I shall report back if it goes back to 11 for good, would at that point contact Nissan, unless others think otherwise.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I observed two days ago, while I was driving, during my first mile on my journey to work, I lost a bar (first one), was down to 11 bars, and then it returned about a mile later, and I currently have 12 bars. Is this common? I have 9K miles on my Leaf.

Also would like to add, that I appreciate the work of the many put into this thread. It has had a beneficial impact upon myself and many others, and as well the potential to motivate Nissan Central.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I leased my Leaf less then a year ago, with the idea to early buy out the lease (to get the tax credit up front, test the car out). No longer wanting buyout given problems detailed here, I sent this email to my DEALER, summarizing my concerns from this thread. After doing further capacity...

    Charging Delayed

in my case, the charger was installed today, used for this evening for two hours, went out for a drive. Plugged back in, got the "charging delayed" that stayed on for several hours, noticed below this it said "charge will resume at 9:26 PM". It was 11:30 P.M. at the time, and since I wanted...
