2022 Leaf overcharging on timed L2 charger

I've been unable to duplicate those episodes of overcharge. I've done a half dozen timed charges, monitored hourly. Hourly rates are 15% +/-2%. Range is 90 miles, from 80 to 20%, at 65-70 mph and occasional ac.

2022 Leaf overcharging on timed L2 charger

Thank you all for your expertise. I closely monitored three timed charges hour by hour from 20% to 80%. Then I summarized the three charges by %gain in each hour. Historically it has taken 4 hours to go from 20 to 80%. In the first hour the average gain was 17-18%, the second hour was 15-16%...

2022 Leaf overcharging on timed L2 charger

I don't think that's it. LeafSpy says the battery is at 92.45 SOH. Also the charge rate per hour is no longer constant. Some charges it's back to the usual 15% per hour and other times it's much higher.

2022 Leaf overcharging on timed L2 charger

I use the onboard timer to charge the 40 kWh battery to 80%. For the first 18 months I owned the car it reliably charged at the rate of 15% per hour, so four hours would take it from 20% to 80%. Recently that same 4 hour setting results in the battery ending near 100%. The other day the...

I'm trying to save LeafSpy images from an iPhone to a MacbookPro using Finder and dragging files to Dropbox. All I see on the LeafSpy files listed from my phone are .txt and .csv files and the only file of any size the HVAC_Data.txt at 261 kb. I can open that file in Dropbox but of course it's...

    The 40KWH Battery Topic

Newbie here. I just had a new 2022 Leaf S delivered with 17 miles on it. My wife and I drove it around for another 17 miles and then I plugged in Leaf Spy. My SOH is 99.16%, Ahr is 114.47, but my cell difference is 33 mv. Is that bad and will it get better? (I'd post a screenshot but I'll...

    Should I buy this Leaf?

Thanks for saving me from making a big mistake. A new Leaf S in California is just over $18K with federal and state rebates. And it looks like from this site that the 40 kwh pack is holding up well. It's all good!

    Should I buy this Leaf?

Total newbie here - I'd like to get my first EV and a used Leaf seems perfect. I've been studying this site for weeks and am looking at this car. It's a 2015 SV with 11,000 miles. Here's the LeafSpy report: AHr = 53.68 SOH = 86.44%, 385.67V Hx = 77.17% 54 QCs & 930 L1/L2s Max cell difference =...
