Charge before or after leaving for 10 days

It's a fair point, an extra hour at the airport on the journey home is not appealing. However... If it's better for the battery, then maybe this is the best way to go. And there's also a whole bunch of bonus points to be gained here... - my partner can keep warm in the terminal with the bags...

Charge before or after leaving for 10 days

Hi all, I know this is a bit early, but I'll be leaving my Leaf for 10 days over Christmas at the airport - which is far enough away that it will definitely need a charge to get me back home afterwards. The temperature in the UK at the end of December is variable (as it is for the rest of the...

Power usage when stationary in D/B

Thanks for your replies - it's much appreciated. I've also learnt the term "creep" :)

Power usage when stationary in D/B

When you're stationary in D/B (with your foot on the brake to stop you moving) is power being used by the motor? It only takes the slightest lift on the brake peddle to start moving (like any normal automatic), and my gut feeling is that the motor is being supplied a tiny amount of power so...

How to quickly initiate 100% charge

I think we have a winner :D The car charged overnight to 80% as requested under the timer settings. I've just ask it to "start charging" via the app, and it is now progressing towards the 100% as per the general settings. This is a nice idea, I like it - however it doesn't work for people...

How to quickly initiate 100% charge

I think this is a very valid comment... and makes a lot of sense. Keeping the timer on 80% will only take it to 80% on the standard overnight top-up. Then pressing the override (either in the car, or using the "Start Charging" option in the app) should then take it to 100% when required. I...

How to quickly initiate 100% charge

I already had ;) Well, that could be the issue - I will on average only drive it on 3 days of the week (I only commute to the office 2 days a week) so it's regularly going to sit on the drive for 2 or 3 days without moving . And on basis that alone, I'm tempted to think that keeping it at 80%...

How to quickly initiate 100% charge

Thanks Duncan :-) Ah, so the override ALWAYS forces a charge to 100%, independent of the general setting?

How to quickly initiate 100% charge

Thanks for the response Darryl :-) It did dawn on me that if I only set the charing timers to go to 80% overnight, and have the general setting on 100%, then pressing he "charge timer override" button (on the right hand side of the dash in the UK!) would take it to 100%. Also, there is a...

How to quickly initiate 100% charge

Hi, This is my first post on the forum - please be gentle :-) I've just bought my Leaf in the last week, and so far am loving it. (2nd hand 2015 Tekna 24kw 3.3kwh UK-specification.) However, there is one thing that I'm simply unable to figure out... I've set up my charge timer to only...
