Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

I'm not taking the worst of the worst. There really is no Right to Repair which will make ownership post-warranty/ESA expensive. That is reality and has very little to do with the majority of Tesla owners being very happy because their vehicles are probably still under warranty or under the...

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

They can afford to offer excellent customer service (aka bleed money) to 100k customers but not sure at 400-500k customers. Margins are fatter on the S and X and if I was EM, I would definitely not screw these customers over. But there's only so much the car company can do once multiples of...

Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle, according to boss Roland Krueger

So far no word on it since it was brought up earlier this year. It's not even being discussed on TeslaMotorClub forum with the fanfare of non-employees getting the model configuration notification. I think it's only in the State of Massachusetts that Tesla had to open up its repair manual but...

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

With Tesla not providing any updates to the Right to Repair (since it was brought up on various news media/articles earlier this year) or giving some assurance that post-warranty or post-ESA, that TM3 repairs won't cost an arm and a leg just like it does on the Model S and X, although I will not...

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

For those outside the US, the 60 kWh Leaf may start selling well before Tesla Model 3 does. If the battery does come with LG Chem's TMS... yummy.

Haha. Makes sense know. When I saw your signature I thought you already have a CPO Tesla Model S.

Oh, I was referring to his Model S. I didn't know he still had his Leaf S.

To that someone else, are you not too happy with out of warranty repair costs?

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

As a current S owner, are you getting free charging on the 3 as well? :) Or will you be using the S to do those 300 mile one way drives? You have no issues at all with your S with your CPO warranty almost expiring?

Anyone thinks this is possible or for the 60 kWh not to be too good damn expensive like the 221st (out of production) LR Model 3? Why Nissan Has A Trick Up Its Sleeve With The New LEAF https://cleantechnica.com/2017/09/16/nissan-trick-sleeve-new-leaf/

Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle, according to boss Roland Krueger

Will labor and part costs come down? What about the lack of Right to Repair, how does that help people whose cars no longer have warranty and are required to have Tesla fix each and every issue that may affect driveability at a significant dollar amount?

Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle, according to boss Roland Krueger

Majority of repair work to be performed by Tesla at its shop rate. Parts probably have to come from the company too. One is going to be at Tesla's mercy after warranty ends. Could be thousands of dollars to keep the car in drivable condition...

Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle, according to boss Roland Krueger

Yeah, I noticed it won the concept award in 2012. Even better with a BEV so I can sell our damn RAV4 Hybrid and stick with two vehicles instead of three. :)

Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle, according to boss Roland Krueger

Interesting. If this can go 250 miles, had four doors and could comfortably seat four adults, this may be my next car (which is going to be a BEV). Pay a bit more to avoid Tesla's business model that lacks the Right to Repairs. I don't mind two doors if that is the only constraint (and the...

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/why-did-you-cancel-your-model-3-reservation.98409/ The poll is missing the two concerns I have: -ESA details especially if it will improve the 4 -year warranty on the DU and the 8-year 100k miles warranty on the battery) -post-warranty / post-ESA repair...

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

^ Thank you once again for explaining it more comprehensively. No wonder Tesla is now reintroducing the notion of battery swapping -- to allay this fear. :)

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

Can you explain this in simpler terms? For the first statement, are you saying that Tesla put in a huge battery with significant buffer so that the percentage of capacity loss is going to show lower? Does this battery buffer (unused portion) slowly shrink in size to allow for a Tesla vehicle...

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

I think the high depreciation rates of BEVs is not only tied to the battery capacity utilization but also to limited driving range for earlier models (with newer ones coming out with longer ranges) as well as the eight-year warranty on the battery where it's the great unknown on the ninth year...

    2018 LEAF Drive Review

Thanks for the update. At least the 2019 Leaf will have a slightly longer range than the base Tesla Model 3. It will come with the faster 100 kW Chademo, right but for home charging, it will be like the rest with 6.6?

Why the LEAF Gen 2 and not the 220 miles Tesla Model 3?

So a 60 kWh battery will heat up half as much as a 30 kWh battery? Sorry for being crappy at physics.
