    Lead accessory battery replacement issues

Voltage before charge was 13.1 volts, when charge was complete it was 14.2 and an hour later settled to 13.80 which is normal but I do know when a BMS is involved there needs to be a handshake between battery and car and charge as well, I suspect bum software in the BMS.

    Lead accessory battery replacement issues

Replaced my leaded accessory battery with Ohmmu Lithium Ion replacement accessory battery for my 2014 Leaf but it doesn't work, nothing....took three Lifep04 chargers before I found one that could charge the battery....looks like the new battery has BMS issues, anyone else tried one of these?

    Cold weather longer charge times

Am in Washington State with Puget Sound Energy, unfortunately they are a very greedy bunch and offer no off peak rates. The Leaf is not only taking twice as long to charge but using twice the energy according to the meter which is a dedicated system exclusive for the car. This all began back in...

    Cold weather longer charge times

My 2014 Leaf drives the exact same route and distance dally now 35,000 miles 12 bars but once the temperature dipped below 42 degrees I have lost over ten miles range but it now takes twice as long and twice the power to charge the car to do the same job, this is with the 110 charger. I read a...

    How beneficial is drafting/slipstreaming?

I noticed a definite improvement in when getting behind most vehicles especially tractor trailers as my power dots would drop from 3 to 2 at 60 on level ground typically.

    2018 Leaf final drive ratio

The numbers I got from Nissan US were 8.193.....if so this will make a big difference in town and hilly driving combined with the higher h.p. and torque....hope the numbers are true.

    Is the $17,500 deal negotiable?

I have still found the best way to negotiate is good old cash, like they say "Cash talks B.S. walks" and make it clear you offer is out the door cash, no ad ons.

Finally 2018 nisan leaf 150mi range

If price was the only reason to buy an electric then the current Leaf will be the one to have for most, but like the majority of Tesla 3 reservation holders are opting them out where the average purchase price is $42,000 according to Tesla.

Finally 2018 nisan leaf 150mi range

There is a lot of the old leaf issues in the new. Both A and C pillar blind spots are unchanged while the new flat bottom steering wheel and almost flat no hump dash will greatly help shorter drivers, still wish they would do like Tesla did in model 3 and move dash cluster to center rather...

    Rear Headrest blind spots

That is what I normally do but I read about a problem when removing the passenger front and the airbag system plus is was only a minor weight saving of maybe 40 pounds.

    Rear Headrest blind spots

Being that I don't do rear seat passengers I pulled the headrests out and tip the seat backs down and also pulled the passenger front headrest and tilt the back down to lessen the passenger side pillar blind spot.

After 2 weeks with a Bolt, here's everything I miss about the Leaf

I managed to get a Bolt for part of a day and found it to very confined inside compared to my Leaf....from the narrow seats.....in fact the interior was cramped compared to the Leaf and I am only 5'7. Power and acceleration and hill climbing were much better than the Leaf mainly because the Bolt...

    What is A mode?

411 That is what I originally thought until it shows up in Eco mode and if switched on the fly it does effect Regen level, also if you in non Eco mode and switch A to B it also changes Regen.

    What is A mode?

2014 Leaf but am finding no info on "A" driving mode. While in Eco mode it shows B mode but if I touch the Trip button I can switch between A and B mode while still in Eco mode. Same thing can be do while not in Eco mode....I can switch from A to B modes. A mode has very little regen while B...

    Leaf too big

In Washington State the price of gas keeps bouncing around $2.80 a gallon with more increase in gas taxes due in July. Electricity is climbing as well as PSE just increased rates for the third time in 2017 with another on its way. Currently when you figure the cost of electricity, basic fee and...

    Used Leaf Values rising?

Now into June here in Western Washington prices have been climbing on used 2014 in particular Leafs up by a couple grand and more.

    Leaf too big

The longer I own it the more annoying these problems become. 1. Thick windshield pillars and useless pillar windows make corner visibility difficult. 2. High roofline (fully 6 inches taller than my 03 Crown Vic), makes washing and cleaning a real pain. 3. Rear view mirrors cars aren't closer...

Biggest mistake as a New Leaf Owner

It actually happened, got up this morning to run some errands, got to the car to find I had forgotten to plug the power in last night so drove the Geo Metro for second time since I got the Leaf! The interesting thing being how different the Metro and Leaf are, the Metro is very light and nimble...
