Trying to determine market value of current 24kw 76% SOH battery?

Thanks :) That's what I was thinking of doing is pulling the modules out. If the value isn't worth more than $1000 or $1500 as a battery pack, I'd rather keep the modules for our own solar project.

Trying to determine market value of current 24kw 76% SOH battery?

I've decided to upgrade the 24kw battery on my 2013 Leaf. It has an SOH of just over 76% (guess-oh-meter consistently shows +/- 110km range), and I have an opportunity to upgrade to one that has over 94% SOH for about $6300 CDN with a place in Langley, BC. I can't seem to find any examples of...

Importing US Leafs to Canada - CARWINGS

Lon12: Carwings isn't all its cracked up to be (for me anyways) in my opinion. It was many times painfully slow, and I didn't work other times. I think it is better to get a Juicepro or other charger that has wifi, and if you go with public charges (chargepoint etc), they can alert you. My...

Nissan admits problems with telematics, is manufacturing a new part to replace defective units

I've had the 12v battery drain issue for a few years (2013 leaf). The occurrence is unpredictable, except that it usually occurs when the car is not plugged in overnight to charge. I've done some testing as some have checking the draw on the battery when the car was turned off, and found up to...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Alozzy.. will do.. good luck with yours! If you talk to Bill there, let him know that I was able to move my leaf to the CDN portal. I had asked them to do that when they installed it, but I think Nissan support told them they couldn't (same misinformation). It would be nice if they just told...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Update (Phase II): SUCCESS Re: Moving from US Nissan Connect to CDN Nissan Connect. I called NissanConnect, and the first service rep did not want to do the move to the CDN portal. She said I would have to go to my dealer (which I knew was wrong). She actually was a bit cranky... so if she...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Update (SUCCESS) copied from our facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/groups/408848509465939/) : I went to Jonker Nissan in Surrey (19505 Langley Bypass, Surrey,) and had the 3G TCU installed about 2 hrs ago. I came home, logged into the US Nissanconnect (where it was registered to before)...

How To: Backup camera for S model with OE parts

When I did my install, I never bought any harnesses, but instead just made my own out of four different color wire (I can't remember if I used #18awg or a bit smaller), and I soldered/heat shrinked the connections on both ends (fishing it through the rubber pipe from the rear hatch and along the...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Nice.. more success. I had my 2G TCU working on both the US and Canada Nissanconnect (last round was US Nissanconnect), but I am hoping when mine is done, they can connect it to the Canadian version so the email notifications work.

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

I had asked my local dealer this: I had ordered a TCU from the US to replace mine for my 2013 Leaf. I'm hoping it will come in this week. Manufacture Date Part number 12/1/2012 - 09/30/2015 283B0-3NF2A Can I bring it to you for the take care of the activation portion of the...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Hopefully the TCU I ordered will come in this week and after the install I'll book an appt with my lower mainland Nissan dealer to see if they can do the remainder of the install. I'll update after that.

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Stonymtnleaf: It may be possible for Canadian Nissan dealers to help. After asking my Nissan dealer a month or so ago about them helping me with the campaign, I rec'd an email late last week saying they may be able to do theTCU upgrade, but the part was not yet available. After all we went...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Ah ok.. Are you on the Canadian NissanConnect or US one? I may follow you in your footsteps. Update: I purchased one on Ebay... $248 includes shipping/import fees/taxes to my door in Surrey. I already had the 2G unit out on the weekend to check it, and will be able to switch it quickly. I'll...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Alozzy: before I purchased my car from someone local in the vancouver area, I called NISSAN, and they said all the Canadian warranty is as valid as the US warranty. Once I purchased, I transferred the car into my name with Nissan. My service dealer here in Surrey(Jonker), sees my car on his...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

tysoncooper, thats good news. My last configuration was using the US NissanConnect.. so I guess my next steps could be to do the TCU upgrade as well. Thank you for sharing your experience. I've tried setting an appointment with Bellingham Nissan to get this work done, and they haven't...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Tysoncooper, always interesting to hear what Nissan Connect Support people say. They all pretty well said that roaming would never work in Canada on a US sourced Leaf. I assume it is what they are told in their training. I've also been told the new 3G TCU would not work in Canada, but then...

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Hey Tysoncooper. where in Bellingham? I assume Wilson Nissan? Did they get the part in prior to you booking the appt?

Telematics upgrade for US import to Canada

Alozzy: you're correct. It is still a bit early (since the inability to re-accept the agreement - which worked for me until last week) and I think some are still weighing options. And yes, some did "appear to give up" in some frustration, but, I wouldn't exclude them out from still having...
