Disappointment with battery capacity and "Nissan miles"

Thanks for your comment! Makes me wonder even more if there is some unsolved problem with my Leaf. Maybe it is the mass I am carrying? The trunk is full of emergency gear; thought this would be irrelevant since the Leaf itself is already heavy with the battery. Is there any other way to...

Disappointment with battery capacity and "Nissan miles"

I know this is an old post, but I am replying to it because it captures my disappointment as well, which I have had for nearly two years now. I'm sorry I don't read the forum all the time; I am very busy. Nevertheless, I searched and scanned the forum for a solution, but the search did not...

    Hardwiring problems with Blink

Best way to do this: Set up BOTH timers. On the BLINK, set the charging period to be 12 midnight to 6 AM. On the Leaf, set the charging start time to be 12:30AM. Then just plug in the Leaf the night you want to charge. The Blink won't let anything happen until after midnight and the car...

How to measure how many KWHs in a fill-up?

This is easy to do if you have a BLINK Ecotality charging unit!!! The unit computes cost per charge. You have to enter the cost per kWh. So simply enter $1.00 as the cost per kWh!!! Then the "cost" for the charge will be the actual number of kWh used in the last charge. Works perfectly...

Electric Service Upgrade Warning Los Altos

I have had an electrician install a service upgrade to get a second meter for E9B. Looks nice; I get a new baseline and a low charging rate, but it did cost me a pretty penny. NOW I learn that the Los Altos inspector will not give final approval until I install INTERCONNECTED smoke...
