    Noise accelerate/decelerate

Noise just started today (I think or I never noticed) and I first noticed it while the A/C was on. Upon acceleration and/or deceleration, there is a very slight "motor" noise (or think of a wheel bearing going bad type noise where it matches accelerate/decelerate) that increases/decreases while...

Aftermarket rims and tires 2018 s

Sorry on the delay - Plano :D I have a '15 S with the stock steel rims and hubcaps and I've been looking at getting wheels. I was thinking about just getting an OEM SV or SL set, but who knows? Given how fugly the gen 1 cars are, it's hard to find anything that I think would look good.

    Am I nuts or scared?

My 2015 S that I picked up a few weeks ago has heated rear seats - for what it's worth.

    2015: Battery Data Report @ 100% Charge

Lost my first bar today at around 82.07% SOH and three weeks of ownership :( I'm still under warranty until 2020, so the faster the better probably :)

    2015: Battery Data Report @ 100% Charge

Yeah, that was sort of what I was thinking, but I obviously want to mitigate it as much as possible. Given my limited driving, I could probably get away with 60%-70% SOC for my daily driving (gives me a bit of a buffer just in case). I'm already noticing the cold making an impact on range over...

    2015: Battery Data Report @ 100% Charge

I'm not trying to be "that guy", but here is a shot of my battery after I got home to me on my 2015 S that I picked up about two weeks ago. I've looked around the forum threads, net, etc. and I'm really just looking for a layman's answer here as much of the information is a bit overwhelming...

    S model charging timer

Yes, I have done 200 miles now since I bought the car and I'm consistently at 50%-53% when I get home for the day (maybe higher on the weekend). So with that being said, maybe keep it charged to around 70% instead? I figure that should give me about 50 or so odd miles and I'm doing around...

    S model charging timer

Thanks for the replies, this is what I've been doing: When I get home, I'm usually at around 53% SOC and I'll wait a few hours to allow the battery to cool off. I've been plugging the car in for about 4 hours and that gets the car up to 80% - 83%. Since it's such a little amount of time, I've...

Thoughts on keeping leaf vs upgrading

There is a 2016 S that just came up for sale after I bought my 2015 - it's going for $10,500 and I see these all the time out here. I guess it does really depend on the area.

Nobody seems confused so far, but I get your point :D

Model S without quick charge port

I need to petition the school district (or PTSA) that I work for to put in an EV charging station. At my school there are two of us that own Leafs and plenty of the rich parents have Teslas, so it would be win win for everyone :D

    Chargers Mpls, MN to Duluth

Depending on the network(s), yes you will have to have one or more accounts set up. Some allow pay as you go via credit card, it just depends on the network. As for finding stations, see the post above regarding Plug Share, etc. Google Maps also shows charging stations now and each individual...

Model S without quick charge port

Yup, my 2015 that I picked up over the weekend has the 6.6, but I've just been using level 1 to charge it at night and it's been more than enough. There are a few free level 2 chargers in my area (one right around the corner from my house) if I ever feel the need.

$2500 Texas rebate is up and running

If you haven't already bought one, keep looking - there is a 2016 S at Nissan of McKinney for like $10,500 and I see them pop up all of the time (got a 2015 S this weekend myself).

What other EV's did you test drive before buying a Leaf?

I've been lucky to drive the following, but not really so much as a test drive because I could not realistically afford any of them besides my used Leaf that I just picked up this weekend. 1s gen Leaf 2nd gen Leaf (new ones are nice!) Bolt (the one I would buy if I had the money) Volt

New California Rebate of $5,000 covers preowned EV as well !

This is why I am such an advocate for affordable EVs as I fit into this category. I was finally able to pick up my new to me 2015 S this weekend and it took me close to three years to be able to do it. In my area, if this sort of program was available, you'd be able to get a late model Leaf...

Leaf S - replacing the radio?

    S model charging timer

Thank you - I'll have to start monitoring my percentages better. Today was my first real normal day of EV driving and I do less than 30 miles a day (usually around 21 or so). Do you ever top off to 100%? I'm hearing some people who might do it once a month, some do once a week, etc.

Battery charging beyond 100% after strange activity earlier in the day

Good information - I was linked to this thread from my post about L1 charging times.

    S model charging timer

Thank you - if you don't mind me asking, what was your average remaining charge prior to charging when you did this? I've only had the car for two days now, but I usually have 50%-60% left over by time I get home (car was 100% when I left the dealer and I charged it to 100% on the first night...
