    2018 Leaf Cabin Filter

I'll have to look at mine sometime, I thought is was same as the other Nissans. The "door" is to keep the filter inside the HVAC ducting so that the air will flow thru it, and not outside of it if the "door" was open. My 2 cents.

    2018 Leaf SL TPMS sensors?

Not implying laziness, only cost savings. Yes the light will go on too....yada yada yada. Past few years come to ignore it. If those sensors were less expensive, then I would look probably get them. Dam technology! That's all so don't get upset.

Petro Canada rolls out first EV charging stations

Yes good news. Many gas fuel stations are getting into the game. Shell in Europe, I think BP too. Also Shell in USA and Irving. Matter of time.

    Highway 401 charging stations

Yes, Enroute (aka. Canadian Tire Corp.) was supposed to install at least some L2's a year ago. They sat on it (after getting last terms grant monies) and still have not installed anything. The wiring is there.

    Winter Tires

I'm getting Michelin XICE3s in a week from Dealer. With steelies $1100 CAD installed, plus tax. Includes yearly storage of original set. No TPMS. Get a good tire gauge and save money by checking them yourself!

Power switch: LOCK vs OFF ?

Think it means ON versus ACC mode. Pushing the power button without pressing the brake puts you into ACC mode. Depending on how you have the door lock programming, they may lock/unlock. Also, I know a couple of times I've forgotten to put the car into park first, then push the power button...

    2018 Leaf SL TPMS sensors?

I'm getting a set of Michelin XICE 3's with steel rims in a week. No TPMS sensors. No need for them in Winter, I just manually check every couple of weeks with a good tire pressure gauge. Don't see the need to spend more money on sensors. I have two other Nissans (08 Versa and 14 Sentra)...

    2018 Leaf Cabin Filter

Hi sounds same as other Nissans. I also have a 2018 Leaf, and 2008 Versa and 2014 Sentra. The Versa and Sentra are same for changing CAF. It's a 10-minute job at worst cast, very easy to remove glovebox, unclip glovebox light connector (if equipped) and then get to the cover for the CAF...

Ontario Cancels EV and home Charging Incentive Programs today - July 11 2018

For anyone sitting on the fence looking to get an EV here in Ontario, you have missed the Incentive boat: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/vehicles/electric/electric-vehicle-incentive-program.shtml It's a sad day for us here in Ontario as we have taken a step backwards in EV adoption progress...

    2018 Leaf Trailer Hitch

Hi thanks all for the responses. I kinda thought so but wanted to get some real life experience feedback! I've heard that a roof rack can cut down range, as much as 5% or so maybe more, but that is because of aerodynamics.

    2018 Leaf Trailer Hitch

Hi all, looking at a hitch for a bike rack (1-3 bikes). EcoHitch sells a compatible Hitch for the 2018 Leaf: https://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2018_Nissan_Leaf.htm https://torkliftcentral.com/2013-2016-nissan-leaf-ecohitch?c=1 My question is, since the hitch weighs about 47 pounds...

Leaf get together/meet up for GTA (Greater Toronto Area)?

Re-bumping this. Anyone interested? I've got one response so far thanks.

    2018 Leaf spongy brake pedal?

Brakes are "brake by wire" so it's a different feel then normal hydraulics. There is nothing wrong with them.

    Electric Charge Cost

Here in Ontario, I've done just over 4,000kms and my charge cost is $40 CAD. It's a no-brainer. 6.5cents per kWh on off peak charging, which is all I do.

    Impressive 2018 real life range.

Hi I too am impressed with my SL Range. Starts out at 270-300KMs in the morning and have not got it below 25% yet. Did a drive from GTA to Collingwood ON last weekend and still had plenty of range left when got back.

    Pro pilot

With regards to PP and lane wandering, I've now used it several times in my first week of new Leaf ownership and have seen that it is very dependant on the line markings and the strength of those markings. If they are bit faded it tends to wander a bit back and forth more then if the lines are...

    2018 Leaf Roof Rack

With the seats down, there is enough room to haul a bike without removing a wheel. That's what I plan to do for my leaf. Have not seen yet a roof rack but I am sure one will be available soon.

EV Revolution Show - Impressions on the 2018 Leaf

Hi all, here is my "review" of the 2018 Leaf from a Media Drive Event that I was invited to last month by Nissan Canada. Full disclosure: Nissan paid for my hotel room and gas for driving up. They gave us (Press) access to several Leafs with varying Trims over two days as well as provided...

Leaf get together/meet up for GTA (Greater Toronto Area)?

Hi, I just got my new Leaf and have been asked by a few folks about having a meet up in the later spring/early summer of Leaf owners. I'd be happy to organize a short meet up/cruise (maybe forks of the credit drive up in Caledon), followed by coffee somewhere. If you are interested, send me...
