    "Pulsating" braking force

Tried it out...worked great, no more pulsing/touchy brakes. Strange but simple solution.

    "Pulsating" braking force

I'm now into my 3rd winter with the leaf, and I have run into the grabby and pulsing brake force issues each winter. It goes away in spring and comes back about February. Seems obvious that it is not a hardware issue like "warped" rotors. Must be in the SW of the regen or something in the...

    Leaf rides free in France

That's fantastic. I want that on the west coast, say Seattle, Portland, SF, etc. Would bring new meaning to the electric highway!

    Blink QC charging fees

MNL members. What do you think of the announced Blink quick charging rates. Seems a bit on the high side to me. When you need to QC, you've just got to do it, but at $5 a pop, it's more than I was expecting. But, I guess with gas at $4 a gallon, and a full 80 percent charge equal to...

Why I Love My LEAF, is the Majority Too Silent?

Bought my Leaf in may of 2011. Now have 16,500 trouble free miles and yes I am loving it. This is my commuter car. I have a normal commute of about 50 miles - no problem. However, around town I frequently will go to a soccer match downtown after work, or go to airport and have made severl...

Is Lake City FM supposed to be a Blink QC?

    Aerovironment QC charge to 100%

I've made a couple quick charges in Washington on the electric highway. I'm wondering how you get the QC to charge to 100%. Yes, I'm sure I could just plug into the L2 unit next door, but if nobody is waiting would prefer the QC to finish the job. I've tried once to push the timer button on...

ICEless in Seattle : Official Pacific NorthWest thread

Has anyone tried the trip to try out the Wenachee & Leavenworth QC's? I took a long weekend in Burlington area last weekend and drove from Kirkland to Burlington in the rain with 2 adults, 2 dogs and a full rear hatch area. It was great trip and the Burlington QC worked fine. Thinking about...

Looks to me like they show Tumwater status as "not communicating". Probably a good rule of thumb to not trust any charger in this situation. Kind of tough in some locations when the QC is not very near an alternate L2 on another network. Do you count on it....or don't you? :?

I was inspired by the Skykomish report earlier, so left Kirkland with an 80% charge to go try out Sultan and perhaps Skykomish as well. Got to Sultan and it was a no go; still fenced off behind chain link. Hopefully will be available at the 30th launch. Only had 36 miles left and after the...

SeattleBlueLeaf (or anyone else) - did you happen to stop by the Sultan DC? Does it look like it would be operational as well?

BC2BC Mexico to Canada via Electric Highway June 12-20, 2012

Here is the address for the Bellingham DC: 222 36th st. These DC chargers are just coming online now, officially on the 30th of May, but a MNL member got a charge in the last few days by calling the 888-833-2148 number and AV turned it on for him. There is a regional thread you can look at...

I've used the North Coast Electric charger, you can get access. Haven't used Sears. I go to Sounders games and park in the gargage just north of Safeco - pay parking, but it has 2 chargers. I can get on one of these if I get there more than an hour before the game. Otherwise, tend to be...

High or moderate speed brake pulsing

I just saw a post tonight by someone who had similar behavior but worse. His situation ended up with warning lights and a visit to the dealer. Turned out to be a loose connector in the ABS. Hum....

High or moderate speed brake pulsing

I've read the posts on grabby brakes, and I'll say I've seen this recently on my leaf. I have 9,200 miles, and it started about 200 miles ago. But, the "grabby" brake thing seems to be described as always a low speed phenomenon. I also have an issue at high to moderate speeds where if I'm...

I actually live on Finn Hill, and made it up a bunch of times. Not the steepest slope from the Safeway, but 132nd and 116th not a problem.

Challenge - drive up Stevens Pass from West Side

Awesome Jhutten21! I appreciate your adventuresome spirit. You did it just as I was thinking I'd try, but I haven't screwed up my courage. I've had some great trips on weekend vacations to Whidbey Island and the Peninsula from Kirkland, but nothing as daring as Stevens from the west side...

How is AUTO mode for climate control supposed to work

I did search and couldn't find answers to this, if I missed it a link would be great. On my car, all the Auto mode seems to do is control the fan speed automatically to control the temperature, but the "mode" is always to send the air to the foot well. Looking at the manual it seems to imply...

A comment an a question. Comment - driving my leaf in the snow was awesome. Okay, I admit i have very low standards. My personal "car" for the previous 25 years has been (a couple of) Ford Ranger light pickups. They were not so good, but always got me to work and back in the Seattle area...

    Excessive wind buffeting

I suspect the Leaf is particularly bad in this respect due to those fancy headlights with fins. I believe the shed a vortex that may roll around the side of the car and cause a pressure pulse as the vortex starts to break down. We'd need some wind tunnel investigation or video from Nissan...
