Well, the next morning my Leaf did not charge as I was hoping it would. The charging timer didn't work so I'm back to square one. If only someone made a timer that I could plug in between my tubo cord and the 240v socket.

This is probably a stupid question, but what kind of devices are used in the POWER OUTLET PLUG ? I'd hate to plug something in there and find out that it started a fire or fried something that shouldn't have been plugged into it. Thanks for you replies.

Hope this isn't too far off the topic, but does anyone know if I can have the 107 mi. battery that is currently in the new Leafs put into my 2013 Leaf? I have no problems at the moment. I'm just thinking what I might need down the road.

I'd like to be able to turn my car heat/air on using only the key fob. I don't want to go out and purchase a smart phone to do that.

This from experience. A few times I have left the car 'on' and eaten up range. I would like to see a Leaf that would have the option to shut down automatically after several minutes to prevent this from happening.

Thank you for your qucik response, Baustin. I never remotely considered those devices as an option. The best part of your suggestion is that I would no longer have to stay up late into the night drawing up a battle plan of charge point stops to make a spontaneous trip out of town.
