    2016 audio wiring schmetic

Yes, the black mini usb goes from the lower console directly into the back of the head unit, by which I mean the radio with the touchpad on front. If you remove the head unit, on the back you will see both a black and brown mini usb. The black one is the lower console wire. I’ve had the cable...

    2016 audio wiring schmetic

The 2016 head unit was upgraded from the previous models. The closest thing on nicoclub is the 2016 Maxima. It has similar pinouts. BTW, if you are replacing the connecting mini USB cable or ports use the OEM ones for the LEAF. I fried a head unit USB function by using a different mini USB...

1.gen 2012 Leaf ZE0 - No heat, no DTCs and heater fluid temperature sensor malfunction.

The Foxwell will show you both expected rpm and actual. Mine are close, maybe less than 10-20 rpm of each other, so I eliminated that as a cause. It didn’t give off much vibration either, which is why I thought that might be the issue, despite no DTC.

1.gen 2012 Leaf ZE0 - No heat, no DTCs and heater fluid temperature sensor malfunction.

Yes, the Foxwell unit you have will show the pump activation and real time rpms, which is how I eliminated it as the issue on mine. I’m still going to check the continuity on the sensor. I saw on another post that if the sensor reads anything below -20F, it shuts the heater down to protect the...

    2013 Clarion QY7210 upgrade to 2016 QY8200 (Non-Bose Navigation stereo)

Yes, I have done the same swap! The brown USB connector goes to the TCU and is unused in the 2013 since our 3G TCUs are boat anchors…..I still need to get the dealer to do the manual VIN update so some of the VCU data will display and I think it will clear the U1000-01 09 MULTI AV CAN Comm...

1.gen 2012 Leaf ZE0 - No heat, no DTCs and heater fluid temperature sensor malfunction.

No worries! It helps a lot just to know that it did. Gives me some hope I won’t have to deal with the DC/ DC converter.

1.gen 2012 Leaf ZE0 - No heat, no DTCs and heater fluid temperature sensor malfunction.

Do you get a DTC or set of them when the fuse is blown? I’m not getting any so I was thinking it might be a erroneous sensor signal rather than an outright sensor failure.

I am seeing the almost the exact same fluctuation. I was able to get my pump readings and it’s operating properly. My PTC only shows 50W draw, but I haven’t let it run long to see if that changes.

2016 Altima Power Window Switch (lighted buttons!)

Going to try again with the proper Altima switches and thanks for the post on the Juke ones for the rear!

1.gen 2012 Leaf ZE0 - No heat, no DTCs and heater fluid temperature sensor malfunction.

Let me know how your continuity tests go. I’m seeing similar results with a Foxwell, but my heater pump shows no numbers at all, which should throw a DTC, but isn’t. I might replace that and see.

Yes, pin 37 is positive. You can download the service manual from here: https://www.nicoclub.com/nissan-service-manuals The one for the hvac will give you the pinouts.

You can do a continuity test on the wires from the high temp sensor to pins 30 and 37 on the connector for the ac auto amp. I’d swap out the sensor first though, given the variation you described. The sensor should give a variable response when in use. It ranges from 4.7V at -20C to 1.27V at 80C.

Which Foxwell tool are you using with your Leaf? I’ve got a similar issue and need to see those same values.

    Clarion QY-8252 Testmode

Could you post the QY numbers for the units you swapped? It sounds like the non-BOSE motherboard won’t support the camera button functionality. I wanted to check before I went trying to attach the camera button radio frame to the non-BOSE unit to see if it would work.

How do I switch the climate ctrl from Fahrenheit to Celcius?

Anyone ever figure this out? I’m trying to go from C to F on the AV unit with no luck.

The 2021 guide to upgrading a 2015 Leaf S radio

We’re you able to find a good pinout for the 2016 radio? I’m trying to do a similar upgrade and can’t find that year or 2018. The connectors look the same for the 2016 and 2018 nav head units, but I don’t know if the 40 pin configuration has been changed

    CHAdeMO bi-directional

Russell, The USAF project summary says The software change consisted of upgrades to three systems: 1) lithium battery controller; 2) on-board charger; and 3) vehicle control module. The technicians who visited the Base used re-programming tools to make the upgrades. The process took about one...

Any V2G or V2H charger available yet for US?

Found it! Looks like the 2011 is not an option. Anybody know if the VCM update is possible. Looks like it’s not available or so involved as to be not cost effective.

Any V2G or V2H charger available yet for US?

It looks like the dcbel unit will be the way to go. The rep said the older LEAF models won’t work with V2H. I saw some posts about a firmware update that would enable V2H functionality in the earlier models. Can anyone point me to a good post for this?

Any V2G or V2H charger available yet for US?

I got the same response today from Aces (Atlantic Clean Energy Supply) as watchdog got back in January about the Delta unit. Wallbox says they are working on a V2H for the US, but it going to be CCS and not CHAdeMO. So, it looks like Nissan might have missed the boat on having a leg up on others...
