    Official Tesla Model S thread

It's very simple to work on. The coolant pumps are under the frunk(10 minutes to take out frunk tub), the charger(s), and HV box are under the rear seat, the charge port is behing a rear inside panel, and the drive unit/entire suspension drops out of the bottom pretty easily. The biggest hurdle...

    Official Tesla Model 3 thread

You have been listening to Jack too much. He doesn't know his a-hole from a hole in the ground.

    Official Tesla Model S thread

I simply cannot believe you are comparing tire wear on a car with 4 times the power, and 21" wheels that gets flogged daily by many different drivers, to an econobox. That is simply nuts.

    Official Mercedes B-class EV thread

 Not a fanboy, just live in the current reality. Something you obviously have no grasp on. I suppose the next thing you post is how much smarter you are because of your superior post count.

    Official Mercedes B-class EV thread

This is one of the stupidest statements I have ever read on here. There are a ton of people that are not rich, but drive a Model S. It's all about cost of ownership. The cost of ownership is the same as a 4 door diesel pickup. Go look up the sales of those in the US.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

With 7104 cells, it's not possible to get anywhere near 85kwh using the 3.1 Ah variety.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

The Model S uses 3.4 mah cells. Who knows what cells the Rav4 EV uses. My guess is the same cells used in the 85kwh Model S "A" packs, since the Rav came out at the same time as the first Model S cars.

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

That's because they are in fantasy land. There is no denying that the Volt/ELR are hybrids. You can contain gasoline use, but cannot completely stop it. That is a fact. What I find funny is that the EV1 had better range 20 years ago than their hybrid car does presently. That folks, is sad...

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

This is just drivel. One has the ability to burn gasoline, the other doesn't.

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

Show me where I said that you burned gasoline? I was just responding to your comment, and unless one lives in California or Oregon, their GM fall-apart is going to burn gasoline. Sad but true.

So now the # of posts equal knowledge? Give me a break. You obviously don't like reality or the truth, and when called out, .

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

Whatever. I have used zero gas for the past 16 months. That must not count in your book, since I'm not driving a government motors automobile? FYI, I was going to get a Rav4 Ev(I'm out of state), but after hours on the phone with Toyota corporate it was clear to me that any problems...

Hybrid. Still burning gasoline is not progress, it's stupidity.

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

An auto manufacturer cannot deny warranty coverage in the US for cars sold in only in California. Google is your friend. I cannot believe that you are that ignorant. People change jobs, move, etc. Wherever there is a dealer, they must service that make. This is why the owners that get an...

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

Clearly US law protects the consumer from shenanigans like these, but these POS companies seem to want to deliberately break those laws. Let's give them more taxpayer monies, that'll work out great....

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

And even if one did buy a compliance car, they are SOL with getting any warranty work unless they pay for the shipping(both ways) to CA or OR. One hell of a way to treat customers.

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

No kool-aid here, just common sense. If certain US companies cannot compete, that is not the taxpayers problem. The majority of GM's parts are made in China anyway. Who is to say that Tesla wouldn't take some of that void in a few years?
  18. Q

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

Jobs would be lost by one manufacturer, but gained at another. It's not like the demand for automobiled would dry up. Simple economics.

Official Cadillac ELR thread - a luxury version of the Volt

 I don't know what planet you live on, but here on earth, GM buried the NiMH patent, crushed EV's, and still doesn't offer an EV(hybrids don't count). Yeah, they are really furthering progress.
