$450 bill from NRG / eVgo

This does happen. I got the same call and they offered to reduce the charges if I switched to the monthly plan. Needless to say over the course of a month the charges added up to more than what it would cost to operate most gas cars of comparable size. I agreed to switch, but I'll go back to pay...

What's the thing you hate most about your Leaf?

The windows fog up way too much. And the seat track is too far out from under the seat so I hit that with my left foot getting in.

    Importing US Leaf to Netherlands

I envy you. First, tell the relocation company that it's none of their business and because you are in EU; you do only what YOU want. ;) Netherlands uses 220-240 volts CEE 7/4 outlets, same as Romania, Germany and most other countries in EU. Anyway, if you plan to charge at home only, you can...

    240v extension cord?

You can make one yourself. I made a 35 foot L6-30 extension cord using a 300 volt 30 AMP stranded wire 10/3; 10 gauge, 3 wires for the 240v 20 AMP EVSE upgrade. I exceeded specs required. The only time you have to worry about heat is when the extension cord will be maxed out by what you are...

BESIDES MORE RANGE, what would you like to see in LEAF gen 2

I agree with most of these, but they are not going to happen because it makes it all too complicated and some LEAF drivers cant even use a QC without hitting the emergency stop button. In the perfect world, the LEAF would be a car like that if the drivers were as good as the car.

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

I might replace the junction box to accept the 1/2" conduit connector. I like my wire.

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

I finished it up today. I guided the conduit by putting 2 double coat hangers through it. I did not find any broken strands of wire when I removed them from the breaker or ground and I torqued them down tight. The only problem with this whole install was the drywall which is really soft and old...

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

The stranded wire can actually hold more heat and amps than solid wire. Just checked with a seasoned electrician at work. I agreed to move green to ground and white to hot, even if it's temp until I move. I might get a conduit and bushing in this weekend since I'm taking the install with me...

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

It would be very daunting to find out that the chance of failure between what I did and what an electrician would have done is probably less than 1% in reality. With the exception of the stranded wire which doesn't seem to cause a problem, there are no other reasons why it should fail. And the...

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

^it would be another legitimate concern if it failed after it was live, but it didn't.

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

That is a proper concern to have, but I used the same specs with a TIG welder on 20 amps without heat issues.

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

I would do that on a boat or anything that is moving. The panel or walls don't move to cause those wires to rub or get cut and cross. I did. It's $1.76 per foot for the 10-3 300 volt 30 amp wire I'm using.

Euro-spec rain light for the diffuser

It's not OEM so it's no good. I want the OEM Euro spec

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

Everything is spec for its intended purpose including the wires. It works. If having the right colors, a conduit, or attaching the cables to the box is worth $100 than hire someone. I AM NOT paying anything to ANYONE.

My DIY L6-30R 240v 30 AMP home install

^I was expecting that. But this works as is and I am happy with it. I am certainly not going to redo it because of the colors, or because it's not in a conduit or attached to the box. It's a temp install until I move anyway.

Euro-spec rain light for the diffuser

    The US version doesn't have one. So where can we get one? EU http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/nissan/leaf/design" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
