    Adjunct battery packs?

An idea similar to yours was done over a decade ago. ~2011-2012? The company added-on a modest low voltage pack and stepped it up to high voltage that trickle charged the main pack. 4, 8 or 12 kWh of 48V batteries, a 5kW DC/DC inverter to boost to 360-400V, which is injected onto HV bus It...

Feature requests/input for MUXSAN 45kWh replacement LEAF battery

I spent quite a bit of time getting the current New aftermarket LRN 40 kWh offering out there. And it isn't cheap. Would certainly be interested in partnering with you when the time comes if you want to reach out to me. There is a ready list of independent US and Canada installers who would be...

CATL Full Battery 64 Kwh with BMS

Have you watched some of the videos?. The latest ones I've seen involved taking an angle grinder to cut out certain ribs in the existing pack. And then using adhesive caulking to hold down some of the cells. Most of the suppliers aren't willing to fully explain or show how the assembly...

no heating: (Blower runs but only cold air) (2012)

Could be the resistive heater. As others have noted it is not a quick fix. The part itself is over $1,000 and can only be bought through the dealership. The job is doable as a DIY. But could take a beginner a day or more to do it.

Upgrade to 60Kwh battery (Leaf 2018 SL)

It is possible. It'd likely be cheaper to sell yours and buy a different car. It can cost $1,5000-$20,000 USD.

    $12k to replace 24kwh battery?

The LRN carries a longer warranty. 3 year/36,000 miles for the part. Last I was told at the dealership parts department is that they only provide a 1 year warranty with over the counter parts. (Including the HV battery.) For determining warranty, would assess the car's symptoms using...

    $12k to replace 24kwh battery?

The part warranty is not the same as Nissan's. Last I checked, I was told Nissan will only provide a 1 year warranty when purchasing parts over the counter; this includes the traction battery pack. The LRN 40 kWh pack for the Nissan Leaf has a 3 year/36,000 mile part warranty. A manufacturing...

    $12k to replace 24kwh battery?

It is a warranty against manufacturing defects. No LeafSpy metrics mentioned. But currently LeafSpy is often one of the tools used when assessing customer's Leafs.

    $12k to replace 24kwh battery?

As painful as it is to say, your dealership is actually right on track with today's pricing and info. That article is posting cost numbers with no actual citations of when and where they are getting those numbers from. Those numbers are definitely incorrect. Waaaaayyyyy too low. Now, it is...

Considering a 2018 or a 2019 Leaf, but I'm concerned about my 96 mile round trip up and down a mountain.

Do not do it. If it was a plus model it would be doable. But a 40kwh would be close, and over time, as it degraded it would only get closer.

    To buy or not

It matters a lot what your commute is like. Assume this had a 73 mile EPA rated range when New. At 65% health that degrades to about 47 mile EPA rated range. If your drive is 55 mph or less, in temperate climate, no need for heat, no need for ac, on flat ground, no wind, then you might see...

    LeafSpy help online file?

Have you looked at the help file on the app? It identifies the file's location in your phone's memory. Can you just go to that location, and download that file from the phone to the computer?

Realistic odds of upgrading 2015 24kWh battery pack?

Sorry, these are for installation at Leaf Repair Network shops only. Not sold to consumers. Feel free to call me sometime if you have other questions. Always happy to chat about sourcing packs in general. Not just the LRN 40 kWh packs. 608-729-4082

Is there a NACS to chadmo adapter out yet?

Even if you have an adapter, pretty sure Tesla has not approved Leaf for access to their Network.

RECOMMEND Independent Shop for 24 to 40 kWh swap w/i 1000 miles Memphis, TN

I can access 62's with New cells, but they are completely unvetted. Which is gamble. If that's how someone wants to spend their money, I can help them do it. Just as long as we all understand what we are getting into. Feel free to call and chat about it. Servicing a 2013 and newer pack is much...

Realistic odds of upgrading 2015 24kWh battery pack?

I can install the aftermarket LRN 40 kWh battery pack for the Nissan Leaf at my shop in Wisconsin. But the cost is financially unpalatable to most folks. - All New cells - 150 mile range - 3 year/36,000 mile part warranty Generally ~$14,000 + tax. For now am able to do for $13,000 + tax...

RECOMMEND Independent Shop for 24 to 40 kWh swap w/i 1000 miles Memphis, TN

In a perfect world, those kinds of packs would be plentiful and vetted. But that's simply not where we are at. As mentioned above, and it's worth repeating, even when someone as experienced as Dala bought a Used pack, it turns out it was damaged. When I can know the full, or at least recent...

RECOMMEND Independent Shop for 24 to 40 kWh swap w/i 1000 miles Memphis, TN

Anything is possible, but for the risk, it is pretty hard to get someone reputable in the US to do it. It was done many, many years ago by Engineer in the US. They eventually went out of business. Most US shops just want a finished product delivered that we can install in a customer's car...
