lost one bar of charge capacity

I lost a 2nd bar at the start of winter in Nov. 2016 at 29,000 miles , and the 3rd bar this morning at 32,000 miles.

    Winter tires

We have had the 2012 Nissan Leaf for 4 year plus 6 weeks now. This winter was snow and ice on the roads in Kansas more than last year but not as much as the first winter we owned the leaf, and the tires were not gripping the road. Even when the Leaf was new the Bridgstone fancy tires that came...

    quick charger locations idea

Nissan said just last week that they plan to build 1400 quick charge stations around the USA. I suggest that they stop putting them in strange places and put one at all the Interstate rest stops on the highways. Also they should aim to put at least one in every state to back up their claims that...

lost one bar of charge capacity

It looks like it is not a question of miles driven but age of the battery, out cars have similar numbers and the battery is probably the same age, and they both lost a bar about the same time.

lost one bar of charge capacity

The summer that was only a few months before I bought the Leaf was 45 days about 100 F and never below 85, plus 18 of those days were above 110 F, the host summer on record in Wichita. Clearly my car was on the lot during that summer.

lost one bar of charge capacity

    I meant a 3 year and 3 month lease at 85$ a month.

lost one bar of charge capacity

I think it was a good deal, only 85$ a month, plus the trade in of my old classic Sabb whos transmission died and at 198,000 miles I did not feel like putting in a new transmission to that Sabb.

lost one bar of charge capacity

Yes the car had some hail damage from a storm in May of the year I bought it (same storm took off my house roof) and then I bought it in December, so it sat on the dealers lot for 7 months. However, it only had 8 miles when I bought it.

lost one bar of charge capacity

My 2012 Nissan leaf has reported to me this morning it has lost one bar, giving me only 11 bars. I was wondering if it was normal? The car is 21 months old, has 13,000 miles, is always charged only to 80% at night and rarely driven to the point of going below 40% charge, it has been charged to...

LA market 9% EV by 2015 - UCLA

10% EV in LA, Chicago, New York City and other big commuter cities should be possible by 2015, especially with the price of gas going up. What I do not understand in this posting is that not all houses use inefficient electric heat. For example my house is geothermal heat for heating, hot water...

    Partial battery charge

Does anyone know what the ion in the battery media is that carries the charge, we know it is Lithium plates, but the specific chemical potential of the liquid media of the battery could tell us a lot.

    Partial battery charge

Leasing was good and the best price option, I though they were literately giving the car away at 85$/month with 3000 down, but they did get a truck load of 2012 Leaf forced on them to sell in December from Nissan and they wanted to lease them so a bunch of us at the University took the offer and...

    Partial battery charge

Yes Kansas, Wichita. The car is a new on a 3 year lease, but still I want to be nice to the battery, who knows maybe I will buy the car at the end of the lease. The car is in a partially heated/cooled garage at night so right not even though we are down to 10 F at night the garage never goes...

    Partial battery charge

It turns out from driving the Leaf 2 months now (1800 miles) that I know I only need a full 100% charge on Wednesday and Saturday. I can charge on Sunday to 80% and it does not really need charged again until Tuesday night, and Thursday & Friday also only needs one charge to 80% on Wednesday...
