New Focal Component Speaker,Sub, and Amp Installed on 2015 Leaf (Updated)

Amp under the passenger seat. The amp has a slight angle which worked perfectly for the slight incline of the bottom of the seat as it gets moved forward and clears perfectly also with no interference at all.

New Focal Component Speaker,Sub, and Amp Installed on 2015 Leaf (Updated)

I finally was able to spend some time to install the new line driver, amp, and Rockford Fosgate sub this weekend. Man what a difference more power has done to the Focal speakers, they sound so different then when just powered straight from the stock radio. I got the LC7i line driver from...

New Focal Component Speaker,Sub, and Amp Installed on 2015 Leaf (Updated)

I think that I have noticed after the speaker install, the front speakers have decent bass when I turn the volume up pass the half way point with the bass turned up but the rear speakers just does not seem to have the same amount of bass as the front. Same set of speakers front and back but such...

New Focal Component Speaker,Sub, and Amp Installed on 2015 Leaf (Updated)

I looked at the Focal powered sub, just did not want to have such a large enclosure taking up the trunk space. The trunk currently fits two sets of golf clubs and two push carts when I walk the local golf course with my wife. Don't want to take up that precious cargo space. I was just at the...

New Focal Component Speaker,Sub, and Amp Installed on 2015 Leaf (Updated)

After reviewing all the post here I finally decided to upgrade the speakers on my ‘15 Leaf, I noticed distortion in the speakers once the radio is turned to the halfway mark just to get decent amount of mid bass from the stock speakers. Reading all the posts that mentioned that the stock...

Installed TSW 18" Rims and Megan Coilovers

Looking at the Nissan app, the last 3 months avg energy was around 4.2-4.3, the month of July so far I am avg 3.9, so that would be about 9-10% reduction in my avg range.

Installed TSW 18" Rims and Megan Coilovers

Thanks I thought about going 8.5 on the wheels but was worried that there was no protection for the wheel with a 225 wide tire. Even now withe 225 on 8" wheels, its flush to the wheel. I would think 8.5 wheel would stretch the 225 wide tires. If your going with 8.5" and even 10" wide rear...

Installed TSW 18" Rims and Megan Coilovers

Had the alignment done this morning and of course it was out, mainly the toe. The front camber of car was actually within spec, I got lucky when I installed the camber bolts and eyeballed the camber. The camber was about -0.2 and -0.5 and after the toe adjustment the final camber results were...

Installed TSW 18" Rims and Megan Coilovers

Here are some install pics. Front Rear Minor update: I've been tweaking the setup just because it was bugging me that the driver side rear was just a tad higher than the passenger rear. Took the springs out and readjusted them and luckily I did, I found that a plastic insulator was...

Installed TSW 18" Rims and Megan Coilovers

The MSRP for the coilovers directly from Megan is $899, on ebay they were going for $749 but there was one that allowed a best offer and just tried $700 and it automatically accepted my bid, so with tax within CA came out to about $760 or so. Now I wish I maybe should of went lower. But I...

Installed TSW 18" Rims and Megan Coilovers

Been reading all the posts on this forum on the effects of changing the wheels on the leaf since I wanted to upgrade from the stock 17" wheels on the 2015 SL to a 18" wheel. I saw most people said that there would be about a 10% hit to efficiency. So I tried to look for the lightest options for...
