    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

Despite starting this thread, I gave up on the Leaf for now. (anyone need a charger?) ;) I'm back in an Altima after having both the 2012 and 2013 Leafs (license plate AC POWR if anyone saw them around town). I too live in O'Fallon MO.. I work in Maryland Heights. The cold weather range was...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

I've had range anxiety and I'm only going 50 miles round-trip.. although from what you've described, you will probably be fine. I start with the car pre-heated in the garage., but without running heat I easily get down to 30% remaining on some days. Obviously 30% isn't "dead" but it's not the...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

So, do we have enough people with interest to do a St. Louis leaf meet-up someday? Could be amusing. -- - Aaron - The annoying guy with the "AC POWR" license plate despite the car running on DC (figured more people would understand AC)

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

For your limited drive, you probably could do without the 240v. I used the 120V charger that came with the car for the first couple months. The Leaf would normally be done charging around 4-5am, even with it down to 30-40% when I got home. My main motivation for 240 was that I had a few days...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

Sorry, no experience with West County Nissan.. there's a single dedicated guy at Lou Fusz that I dealt with (Jimmy) who was ok. Andy Pomeroy at St Charles was good as well, but lacked a bit of Leaf knowledge (good car guy though). St. Charles Nissan sales didn't know any more than I did...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

I'm near K/Mexico in O'Fallon and I drive to Page/270 daily. With my 2012 I would get to 70/270 just as I lost my 2nd bar of charge as I hit 270 under perfect conditions. I'd make it home with 40ish percent. With my 2013, my 2nd bar drops at the same place.. while going highway speeds with AC...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

We went with Grasser Electric for our install. No idea if they're cheapest or not.. we bought the charger off of amazon. They were great to work with though and we've used them for a number of other projects and been VERY happy. On another note, I swapped my 2012 after a year (10k miles) for...

    Winter, snow driving and similar

In St. Louis we are about to get our first real snowfall.. I'm curious how the leaf handles in the snow. I noticed that even on wet roads, a slightly heavy foot causes the traction control to kick in. In ICE cars, I'm also in the habit of putting cars in neutral if I start to skid, so this...

    LEAFs in St. Louis, Missouri?

Nope, got mine through Andy Pomeroy at St Charles Nissan. Let the rest of us know if ya need a hand or have any questions - the dealers (in my experience) are still learning the cars.

I've got a black 2012. I'm really enjoying it. I live out in O'Fallon MO so I drive about 45 miles round trip each day. The suspension leaves a bit to be desired along with the remote carwings stuff, but everything else is as advertised.

I'm the leaf at Edward Jones - building 100, small world. I've already put in questions about chargers here. Somewhat related.. 110v outlets are in the garages, the few times I wanted to top off nobody seemed to mind.
