Lost 4th bar yesterday @43.44 AHr - a bit earlier than I had anticipated but just on time. Just shy of 57k miles and 3 more months to go before warranty expires. Off to the dealer on Sat!
Here's LeafSpy data of the progression for those interested. As I had suspected, it seems like the car did...
I was getting steady AHr decline until I did a QC. This happened twice, and my current belief is topping 100% often or QC will improve battery cell balancing which in turn raises AHr. However it might be moot point to look at AHr to that degree as I presume the car will try really hard to...
I also realize those are the two factors that affect battery degradation by the books, but there are many other factors that affect the AHr drop besides that. All I can say from the actual data I've been collecting is that it seems like at least for the time being QC and keeping it full has had...
Thanks for pointing me to the thread! Good to know it only happens during charging.
I'd disagree a bit that there's no harm though. If I had the relays switching that fast for so long (like every night), I can imagine them get busted... We've had relays get bad on other cars.
I noticed today that when I have LeafSpy Pro connected to the car while charging, the Leaf makes a clicking noise around the front right side near the headlights. I only noticed because I was outside the car while charging and had the app going. Is this normal? It sounds like some relay is going...
Thanks for the insight, and sorry to hear that. Can you share what your progressions of AHr/miles so I can keep a tab? I may start using QC regularly depending on the progressions we see.
I have a 2011 SL and recently got Leaf Spy Pro to get the AHr.
It's at 9bars 44.75ahr now and I'm at 53.5k miles and till July.
We're in the SF bay area.
What are my chances of getting down to 4BL before my time's up?
If so, any suggestions to secure my chances?
Thanks!
It's actually not the issue on Geico side I don't think. When I filed for CA rebate, the VIN also showed SV model. So fundamentally I think there's something wrong.
I got a SL model but when I put in the VIN number for auto insurance it shows up as SV. Anyone have same problem, and if so how do i go about fixing it?
Yup! I still only drove back from the dealer yesterday and only made local errands this afternoon, so for me it's slowly sinking in perhaps because I had read too much about in on this forum. I guess my expectation was set high already so didn't have too much of a 'surprise'. However getting to...
Finally, finally got my leaf yesterday! It was actually there by end of June right after I went out of town on vacation, but of course I was going to wait for the lower CA sales tax anyways so it was cool.
Drove 70 miles from North Bay Nissan to Fremont with plenty of miles left (13).
Looks...
I was having issue getting PLI to work. ie. the two units were not connecting.
Since I resolved it I thought I should post it here for reference for others.
The PLI I got from electrician is from Alfa AHPE303.
