    Wireless Charging

Yes, I agree with you - the convenience would outweigh the cost. My wife tends to forget to plug in (forgivable being 8 months pregnant), but she needs it to be charged in the morning. So if I don't remember to go plug in before heading to bed, she has to burn a bunch of gas the next day. It...

Location of Speed indicator--not at all driver friendly

Sam, now that you are driving a nerdy car like the Leaf, you need to put those hands at 10 and 2 like your drivers ed teacher told you. Also, put your seat back in a more upright position - no more pimp-daddy reclined cruising, ok? All kidding aside, you're probably just used to driving a...

Rear view camera option on SV?

As far as I know, it is not available on the SV. It is available on the S, but the SV and the SL only offer the AroundView monitor instead as part of the Premium Package.

    Official Toyota RAV4 EV thread

Thanks Tony, and good luck with the rest of your trek. Sounds like the RAV4 is not for us. The extra range is less critical than reliability, and I've not really been running into battery degradation issues so far. More and more, I'm thinking of waiting for a reasonably priced used Model S...

    Official Toyota RAV4 EV thread

Ok, thanks. I wasn't following the BC2BC thing, but there's no rush anyway. Even if he's done it before, I'm asking for an update, as of now, having owned it for a while. In any case, no worries Tony if you don't have time or find this tedious!

    Official Toyota RAV4 EV thread

Tony, As an experienced RAV4 EV owner now, can you give us an update on your *honest* impressions of the car, as compared with the Leaf? IIRC, you needed more range, and the RAV does offer that, but how much more in real daily life? Aside from that, how do you feel about the driving...

    Official Tesla Model S thread

Hey, no fair! I uglied up my Leaf with those damn stickers, because you're required to put them on the bumper.

    Leaf rides free in France

This is an excellent solution to the need for a road trip car. Don't we have an auto-train on the east coast for snowbirds? I want one in California please. http://green.autoblog.com/2013/06/23/nissan-leaf-evs-get-free-rides-on-scnf-train-in-france/

    Battery Replacement Program Details

I think you'd be looking at a $75,000 Nissan EV that was totally awesome.

    Official Tesla Model S thread

They're just a little too excited about battery swapping. You'd think Mick Jagger just took his shirt off (circa 1975). I'm betting they're employees, and they're drunk.

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Cool! I didn't know Clark Howard was a Leaf driver (now a Tesla driver). Smart guy. My mother-in-law listens to every word he says.

Offcial Honda Fit EV Thread (lease only)

I wish I was 6'4'! Glad to hear that the Leaf accommodates you better. It is a surprisingly roomy car. Regardless of my lesser stature, I will be crossing the Fit off my list of cars. The comfort issue is my main concern, as I rarely need additional range. I'm leaning toward getting another...

Offcial Honda Fit EV Thread (lease only)

Yeah, I got a little worked up after the news too, so I joined ZipCar and took one out for a couple hours from the Hollywood location. Here are my impressions, in case anyone is interested how it compares to a Leaf. 1. Seats are uncomfortable, compared to the Leaf. To be fair, I find that most...

Offcial Honda Fit EV Thread (lease only)

New lower lease rate for Fit EV finally makes it a worthy alternative. http://green.autoblog.com/2013/05/30/honda-fit-ev-lease-drops-to-259-adds-unlimited-miles/ $259 with nothing down, unlimited miles, and collision is included. And they throw in a free Leviton L2 charger as well. I'm going...

2012 Leaf Limo for sale on Fleabay!

I can't tell from the description - does it have another bench seat, so it seats 8? If so, this would be an awesome mini-van replacement. Though it does look ridiculous. One other thought: they should have taken the extra length to add a larger battery pack!
