How fast have you gone in your leaf?

It's not that steep, there is definitely still power available after 95. I wonder if it's a speedometer accuracy thing - the EU (Sunderland) ones, on the factory wheels and tyres, read about 110% + 1mph of true speed. Perhaps the US ones are calibrated differently.

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

I have Leafspy Pro on an Android device. I'm stuck at version 0.40.101 (22) - no newer version is offered in the Play Store. Dropbox seems to have stopped working some weeks ago - presumably when API 1 was retired. Leaving Dropbox enabled in Leafspy no longer uploads anything, nor does it...

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

Hi, Thank you for continuing to update Leafspy. The most recent (29 August 2017) Android version adds 3 new items to the CSV log: speed1, speed2, wiper status. What do the speeds represent? What do the different wiper status values represent? I only seem to have logged "1F" for the wiper...

How fast have you gone in your leaf?

You can't set the cruise or limiter to over 95mph (indicated) on mine. Motor power starts to reduce above 95 [indicated] mph but higher speeds are possible downhill. http://i.imgur.com/a/PWGrs.jpg

LEAF's 12V battery behaviors - and why they go bad

Be careful with assuming that those LiIon jump-start packs will jump-start a Leaf with a discharged 12V battery. The ones I have used, will only output 12V for jump-starting for a second or two - because they are small, their cables are small, and the current required to crank an engine would...

if your leaf runs in a hot climate, help test a theory regarding coolant...

I'm not in a hot climate, but perhaps this is of interest. Between 1100 and 1103 the car is driven up a steep hill at high speed. It's then left to idle for 5 minutes. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/99952145/styes-graphs/journeys/sri/index.html

Concealing "permanently" fitted Android handset for Leafspy

In the end, I went for a setup like this one: https://mentalnirex.wordpress.com/2017/04/24/nissan-leaf-data-logging/

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

Hi Turbo3, I've emailed you this post as well - apologies for the duplication - I'm not sure what's best. First of all - thank you for the new version 0.39.97. It installed cleanly over the previous and seems to work fine. I use the CSV format logs and written scripts to parse these and...

Concealing "permanently" fitted Android handset for Leafspy

Hi all - and thank you for the wealth of Leaf-related gadgets and apps. I'm considering leaving a low-end Android handset in the car permanently, to run Leafspy Pro on. I see it's simple enough to make the app run on boot, and the handset shut itself down after the power goes away. Has anyone...
