    Charge schedule

By "edit", do you mean that you can't change what was already set? If so, have you tried delete/removing the existing settings? The owner's manual seems to indicate that there can only be 2 timers set (probably for weekday vs. weekend). Are you trying to set more than 2?

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

While you're optimizing your charging time, you should double-check your utility's TOU (Time Of Use) rate schedule. SCE changed ours this year to be lowest (only during the summer months) between 8am-4pm (because of all the rooftop solar systems installed). If your utility had as well, then...

    Post Your Order Details Here

Don't forget that the the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) also provides a $4000 tax credit for buying used EV's. That should make your deal even sweeter!

2013-2014 bar losers and capacity losses

So just to clarify ... Does this now make your car a 3-bar Leaf with less than 20 miles of range? Or a 10-bar Leaf with over ~50 miles of range? Edit: I see you're in Seattle, so the latter seems highly possible for you, whereas the former would be more likely for those in the warmer...

2016-2017 model year 30 kWh bar losers and capacity losses

Yeah, what leftie said. Make sure you already have your BMS patch installed. When my fourth bar dropped, LeafSpy showed the SOH as one number, and then the next day, it went HIGHER. But the 4th bar stayed down. Still I gave it 1 week to confirm it stayed down before starting the warranty...

2016-2017 model year 30 kWh bar losers and capacity losses

That would line up with the reduced degradation then, since we all know heat is the battery killer. Parking under direct sunlight means the interior of the car (and thus the top of the pack) can be significantly hotter than ambient air temperatures.

2016-2017 model year 30 kWh bar losers and capacity losses

That does seem odd. Were there any environmental changes (like more shade somewhere)?

    Tesla's autopilot, on the road

Why not wait until the NHTSA report?! This is just one writer's speculation on what the report will be about.

    Tesla's autopilot, on the road

Well, in the example I linked, the AEB on the car saved the little girl's life. She was able to get up and cry about it, versus being crushed by the inattentive driver (not sure why she was going that fast in a school zone). Hitting stopped emergency vehicles is still its weak point, but it's...

    Tesla's autopilot, on the road

Driver was an idiot. This is what we're hoping FSD would eventually solve (AEB did reduce the severity of the accident, but would rather have no accident at all): https://twitter.com/Teslasaveslives/status/1692916195194724494

    Hydrogen and FCEVs discussion thread

I disagree with your speculation (train tracks have very gradual incline/declines through mountainous areas and batteries function fine in the winter as long as they're pre-heated during charging), but won't add anymore, since I'm not part of the decisions makers either.

power density. The solar panels takes all day to trickle charge enough energy into the batteries for a 15 minute drive. The nice thing is that 15 mins was absolutely FREE!

    Hydrogen and FCEVs discussion thread

The Italian purchase of hydrogen trains doesn't strike me as a case of "right tool for the job". If the Austrian tests showed that a battery-only train can cover a 224km route (effectively half way across the entire spanish country), then what could ARST possibly need a hydrogen train for other...

    2016 30 kWh Battery data

You should already qualify as soon as the 4th bar was lost (representing remaining SOH of under 66%). You might want to file that warranty claim before the 8y limit is reached (they might claim it's against date of manufacture and NOT when you bought it).
