Re-setting the compass in my ZE1

Hello all. My 2019 Japanese import ZE1 e+G has been a revelation since it arrived a couple of months ago, but I'm still trying to get my head around few features. One thing that's bugging me is that the compass/direction finder in the main dash is waaaaaay off. I wondered whether it had...

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

Thanks heaps for your considered response - I'm keen to learn as much as possible from people with experience in this area. You're right about the total weight being more than 750kg, but it won't be a lot more, and also, the hitch weight of this camper is only 30kg (yes, when it's empty) so that...

    Wheel & tyre sizes

I recently bought a 2003 BMW 530i and was amazed to find that the spare is a completely unused Pirelli on a magnificent, pristine one of these!

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

No worries. ZE1 just refers to the 2nd generation of Leaf, made since 2017. The first generation (2010-2017) was known as the ZE0. As far as the plus is concerned, I know there are different names & specs in different countries, and I won't claim to know what the US ones are, but the bigger...

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

More excellent advice! I know our camper trailer has electric brakes. What I now need to establish is what I need to fit to the Leaf, apart from a towbar, to make the whole system work. This is our camper trailer - not very big & heavy, as you can see.

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

Thanks for that - the link and also the confirmation about towing! I did a search for towing on this forum but it didn't come up with anything relevant, hence the new thread. I'm glad others have posted photos, it gives me confidence seeing what other people have managed to haul behind their Leafs.

    Can I tow with my 2019 ze1?

Hi everyone and thanks for the advice I've received to my other queries since getting my Leaf. I'm loving driving it and now I'm exploring whether I can realistically keep it to use as our only family car. One thing we want to do a lot of soon is going away with our camper trailer. It's...

    Adventures in EV-land, part 1.

Yes, they are nice wheels. I got lucky - didn't even realise it had aftermarket ones. These are actually bigger than standard - tyres are 225/45 R18 The brand is Leonis. I assume they're Japanese. See pic. Suprisingly, the car also came with another set of wheels and (winter) tyres, but they...

    DAB radio on ze1

Thanks for that - I assumed everyone used DAB, but maybe it's a mainly European thing.

    Adventures in EV-land, part 1.

Not rude at all. In fact, I'm in the process of writing an article explaining the whole thing, including costs. All up it was about $29k on the road. The car honestly looks & drives like new, so I'm pretty happy with that. For comparison, the Good Car Company has an identical car (same colour...

    Nissan Connect in Australia

Thanks Coulomb - I suspected as much. Just 1 question (and apologies for the ignorance): What's ETACs?

    DAB radio on ze1

Hi again. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get DAB+ on the stereo in my 2019 ze1? It seems strange that a top of the range model only 4 years old doesn't have this feature. Here's the system in my car - any advice welcome!

    Nissan Connect in Australia

Hi everyone. As a new owner of a 2019 ze1 e+G I'm trying to find out if it's possible to use Nissan Connect, which the car wants me to do. It's a used import from Japan and I'm in Australia but so far I can't seem to find Nissan Connect on the (Google) app store, so I wonder if there's any way...

    Wheel & tyre sizes

A good point, but the last time I drove on snow within 300km of where I live was one day in 2014, so it's not likely. Melbourne isn't known for its wonderful winters, but snow isn't something we need to worry about.

    Wheel & tyre sizes

Thanks for the compliment. As far as I'm aware the e+G version, which mione is, cam standard with 17 inch wheels and the owner in Japan went one size up. Funny thing is, they also included a whole set of winter wheels & tyres that are 17s, so I can choose either. Mind you, it's 37 degrees in...
