    leaf totally dead

i needed a tow because i have far less than the amount of charge i'll need to get home, they successfully jumped the car and it was able to drive to the charging station, so I guess I'll see in morning what it does.

    leaf totally dead

So they are now looking for a way to charge or jump the car, meanwhile i contacted no-gas-ev and boy was i disappointed. they start by blaming me leaving the car 'on' and then tell me they can only tow me to the mississauga nissan, further from my home by another 20km. I guess I'll get caa to...

so it is a 12V issue, 4V was measured. It was my understanding that leaving the car unplugged would allow it to automatically top up the 12v battery. Is this not the case? would it be better to plug it in for the whole week?

    leaf totally dead

I've been away a week, left my leaf with 45% charge unplugged, wth the plan that my brother at the office would plug the car in today before i get back. The car is totally unresponsive and he could only get in with the manual key. I've asked if they can find a multimeter at the office to check...

    The CANary project

Wish I could contribute more, but my real life has been upside down these last few months. We get our new house in sept so things should settle down after that. Anyways, I just updated firmware at lunch, so I'll get to play with it on my hour drive home. TickTock is doing some fine work on...

That worked I used revision 144 as it seems 145 is missing a bunch of files when i switch to it. Thanks for the tip, and I agree that's a stupid 'feature'. I'll let you know how the metric numbering works out on the DTE, havnt driven the car since last week due to distance requirements.

    The CANary project

I'm having a heck of a time getting the latest revisions to build. If I goto revision ~142, i get errors complaining about ff_convert not being defined, if i get latest, then its powercontrol.h is missing. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. I've deleted and re-imported from the repository...

    The CANary project

Been absent for a while on this, but I just updated to this firmware, and I get some wierd artifacting whenever my range goes into the 3 digits (100+). I'll try and snap a picture in morning when there is less glare, but basically where the main yellow range is, there is often a 0 behind the...

    The CANary project

Interesting, its been scorching hot (by toronto standards) for the last couple weeks, and my digikey zener has held up well, with only a few temperature related reboots. I'm still planing to get the smps setup when i get time. Of course real life has made time hard to come by but thats another...

    The CANary project

Wow, seem to have lost my subscription to the thread. Glad the usb firmware thing is working well for everyone. I've been busy with a flooded basement and havnt really touched this since that update. I have had no problems with my zener since i used a digikey one instead of one from mouser...

    The CANary project

Yeah, I kinda trampled over all the files of code... Sorry about that, couldnt think of a way to not touch pretty much everything and have it work. Let me know if you find a solution, the glare is pretty bad on mine... I just (within 5 minutes) received the first dc/dc converter (liek the one...

    The CANary project

I've published the metric & usb update code over at http://mbed.org/users/leafman/code/CANary/ Take a look, and if you need me to change anything just let me know. I can also create a pull request if you want. Seems to work well for me so far, although I'd make sure you have sufficient voltage...

Not to worry. I will fix it and update the firmware with my USB key :D

    The CANary project

Just a teaser: Metric is a toggle in the config page, and is saved in the config file, which has been incremented a version level. I also have successfully tested the update from usb, not as clean as the one that's in main.cpp, but its way more convenient for sure. The way I implemented it...

    The CANary project

My metric stuff is a config option, I just have to test before I'm ready to send you a diff. I also added firmware update from a config button that reads a new bin file off a usb key, so no more trips to the computer. My car is actually a 2012, as Canada is still waiting for the 2013's to be...
