Traded my Leaf; was it a lemon?

Probably would have been good with 65 miles with moderate heat, as you put it, but we usually keep cars a long time, and I was thinking this was only going to get worse, and the value of the car would drop. It's hard to get much $ off on the Ioniq PHEV, it's pretty new, but the Hyundai dealer...

Traded my Leaf; was it a lemon?

Thanks folks! I should clarify, I traded for the Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid, not the Ioniq Electric. It's rated at 29 miles on electric-only. The example I gave of the Leaf while highway driving was unique for us - we live on an island where the highest speed limit is 45 mph. But even so, the winter...

Traded my Leaf; was it a lemon?

Thank you for your reply, Magico13. You have the same year and model as I did, and similar SOH, so that helps validate my experience (and my decision that this car wouldn't work well for us).

Traded my Leaf; was it a lemon?

I bought a 2015 SV at the dealer at the end of last November with 720 miles on it. It had never been sold and had been used as a loaner and demo. It had all 12 bars and still did when I traded it on Monday at 3500 miles. When I used Leafspy several weeks ago, the battery had 54 Ahr, and folks...

2015 "lizard" and 2016 24 kWh S battery capacity bar losers

Thanks all for your helpful responses. I think the dealer was just inattentive rather than underhanded. From this point forward, is there any reason to think that this car will lose bars faster than others over the next, say, 50,000 miles? Also, is it OK to leave the OBDII gizmo plugged in? Thanks!

2015 "lizard" and 2016 24 kWh S battery capacity bar losers

First of all, please tell me if I am posting in the wrong place :-) On Nov 24th 2017 we bought a used 2015 SV from a dealer here in MA that had been used as a loaner vehicle to their customers, with 720 miles on the odometer and all 12 bars. Now has 2072 miles on the odometer, still 12 bars. In...

Steel Rims vs. Alloy ... buying used wheels for winter tires

Just swapped on new steelies and snows this weekend, and what a difference compared to the stock Michelins. I didn't weight the alloy vs steel wheel/tire combos but they didn't feel noticeably different in weight as I horsed them around. Whereas, the same is not true for the wheels on my '08...

Wheel Installation Kit for winter steel wheels?

I don't think there was that level of intent. They sent me a UPS return label and seem happy to issue a refund.

Wheel Installation Kit for winter steel wheels?

I bought a set of steel wheels and snow tires from Discount Tire, and they sold me a Gorilla Wheel Installation Kit, saying I'd need this kit, which is basically lug nuts and a special tool to install them. I mounted the wheels and didn't see any reason the OEM lug nuts aren't just fine for the...

    winter tires and TPMS

On my 2008 Honda Fit, swapping the winter wheels without TPMS causes a warning light to come on, but no sounds. Would like to order a set of steel wheels and winter tires for the 2015 Leaf we just bought, and would like to know what the Leaf does if it doesn't "see" TPMS - is there just a...
