    carbon footprint building a leaf vs IC car

    This graphic seems to agree with the consensus of postings on this topic. http://www.vancouverobserver.com/blogs/climatesnapshot/do-electric-cars-cause-more-or-less-climate-pollution-gasoline-cars-take-look" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    carbon footprint building a leaf vs IC car

    Just intuitively, I would find it hard to believe that battery manufacture would emit more carbon than a ton of gasoline not burnt in just one year. Anyway here is a study that has researched it, with a great graphic...

    2013 Heater

    Congrats on the MY13. Thanks for the info on the new heater. Would you say that it is as efficient at heating as the AC is at cooling? I am impressed at how efficient the AC is. 1.5 Kw for maybe 20 sec then dials right back and cools well. Perhaps you could do a test setting the cabin temp say...

    What 240V outlet type do I need for a plug-in EVSE?

    What 240V outlet type do I need for a plug-in EVSE?

    A 100amp home EVSE would be complete overkill. That is what you need on a trip to add 80m range per hour. For your home who cares if it takes 1 hour or 16 hours to re charge? You have to sleep anyway! If the cable will reach the car, then just plug into the dryer outlet. If it doesn't, then you...

    If your new 240 point is only 10" from the breaker, it's likely already close to a dryer outlet. I have the same LCS 25, and I just added a dryer plug, and it reaches the car OK with the existing cable. The LCS 25 will only draw 16A with the 2012 and 20 with the 2013 Leaf, so will be well under...
