Will try this. I upgraded my TCU in December and starting having issues in the Spring. Took it to the dealership and they said the battery was dead but in good health. I replaced my 12V battery at that time anyway which worked for 5 months and then died again in October. It died again last night...
I just had mine upgraded today and I'm getting a"connection to center failed (B02)" message. Anyone else having issues? I'm wondering if they forgot to register the new TCU. Trying to get in touch with them.
Edit: I had the unit installed on Dec/17 and was able to connect on Dec/19, just needed...
I talked to them and they said I could send a copy next year. Obviously you can't get a new signed certificate. They have a copy of your tax return from last year that they should be able to look up and find the previous signed certificate.
I received my state refund but not the ZEV rebate portion. I think something went wrong with filing.

Thank you, this was really helpful. Just pulled down the map unit and put a 12v to 5v converter up there. Hooked it up to the MT-2015 and plugged it into the back of the mirror so as not to disturb any of the existing wiring.
