Unnecessary and strangely self defeating business process. I suppose because all the dealers operate as independent entities. Match orders with in stock allocations nearby and sell more cars. Simple.

Dealers in the central NC area are starting to show Leaf's in stock, not orphans. Makes me wonder why mine still says June...

Think mine was 4 days.

They are really responsive and their contractor seems to be too. Got my work authorization in today. As a side note lieth now has 2 leafs on the lot and available for walk in purchase.

Good to know. Guess I'll have to call them. They won't let you go to the next step of ordering unless you have the home assessment done/scheduled/waived.

When I go through the Nissan site it apparently signs me up with Progress, so they are plugged in to the process somehow (no pun intended).

I signed up through Progress Energy's site (linked from your link above) as well as through the Nissan web site. Haven't heard anything in about a week.

So you just called and got a waiver for the home assessment?

I signed up for this but haven't heard back yet. How long should I wait before becoming concerned? The longer it takes the longer before I can order my leaf.

So I put down my $99 to get the ball rolling. Can anyone in the progress energy area tell me how long it takes to get the assessment done? It's been a week and I haven't heard anything. Anyone in the RTP area mind telling how their purchase process went?
