I called my local car install place, and they didn't have the OEM version, but one that would replace the rear view mirror. $500 installed.

My issue isn't so much at 99%. But how about 95%? On my best regen I dont even get a full 1% back. When I am at 95% battery and going downhill, it will cut me from 3 bubbles of regen to two. why do that? The battery obviously has the available storage. I could easily regen on all 4 bubbles...

To get better recharge, the current rate just isn't good. if i could have full access to regen immediately, i would gain at least 5% more mileage easily (my morning commute has a good amount of downhill.

Has anybody found a way to modify the regen? Specifically, I am looking to make it so that it is available at 100% (5 dots) even if you are still @ 99% charge.

So there is some kind of equipment on the right side of the dashboard, right up next to the window. Anybody have a clue on what it is/does? The manual shows it in the drawings, but just ignores it. Thanks

So now that they have officially announced the new battery, Has anyone been able to find anything about putting the new 30KW battery in a 2015 or older? From the reports I have found, it has the same footprint (just a little heavier). thanks

I just shift into neutral when going down hill. The regen I get really isn't worth it (from my unscientific findings) I would rather coast and not use any battery vs trying to get some charge back) I get a lot more distance that way.

Has anybody been able to hack their car so that you only coast when not accelerating? With regen only kicking in when you touch the break pedal?

The dealership i took mine to barely even looked at the car. They only looked at the mileage and the VIN; they didn't even walk around the car once to look for obvious damage!

Well, its pretty sad if that is true. Every dealer i went to just kept on trying to add on the charges, even when I told them I had a deal on a better car (same year, better model and milage). One went so far as to try and charge $800 in fees!

To true! but Tesla isn't exactly protecting my money either. I could buy 3 to 4 leafs for what they charge for one car!
