My prediction is that it'll never appear. At this rate it'll take longer to develop than the car itself (and always be playing catch-up with manufacturer changes)!

If you use LEAF Control on Android, would you like the full source code to peer review? Similar issues arise with the various devices under development that interface with the car's ODB port / CANbus, are you sure that the device won't SEND commands to your car?

Keep at it guys, of course, if Garmin pull their finger out and code the ecoRoute HD to work with the multiple LEAF data streams there might be a nice meshing of terrain based routing, vehicle data display and quality GPS hardware...given the number of LEAFs available it's a big IF, however...

Looking good, and I appreciate the need for making hard decisions about hardware design, but for me, the ability to utilise the computing power, storage and flexibility of smartphones and tablets ( access to all those extra sensors, mapping, communications, tracking ) via a Bluetooth interface...
