I'm on the waiting list for the California Clean Vehicle $2500 rebate. If I understand correctly, renewing funding for the program is being held hostage as they negotiate on the Calif carbon Cap and Trade program whose proceeds were providing the funding.
Does anyone have more info on this...
UPDATE: PlugShare support confirmed a bug: If your car profile is "Leaf 2016", then the filter switch for No Charge to Charge is missing; by switching to "Leaf", the feature appeared.
They promised to fix this in the next PlugShare app release coming shortly. Hooray!
My Plugshare account knows I have a Leaf, and when I'm logged in, the app says so in the plugs section... but still no NCTC filter switch!
If I could figure out how to upload photos here, I'd show everyone!
Sigh.
@cwerdna & @flyct - Thanks for pointing out the nctc feature on plugshare! Can't believe I missed that.
Do any apps filter for "free for a period of time" charging stations? They seem to all be characterized as fee-based, which makes them harder to find...

Is it my imagination, or is "Find a Charger" really meant to be this crazy adventure game?
I'm a Leaf newbie, so pardon my asking a simple question: What's the best app for finding an available (and preferably free or time-limited free) charging station? I have loaded 6 apps onto my iPhone, and...
I'm only 350 miles into using my 2016 SV and I'm still getting use to B-mode. Generally it's great - but I do worry a bit about slowing down quickly without braking. Are the brake lights smart enough to notice rapid deceleration? If not, is there a simple mod that could accomplish this?
Thanks, all, for the great perspective and links. Like any standards battle, time will tell. One more reason I'm glad I'm leasing. I'll ask the question again in 3 years before my lease is up...
We just had a BMW EV test-drive fair at work. When I pointed out that our area has more CHAdeMO fast chargers than SAE (used by BMW i3), he scoffed and said. "The industry standard is SAE - CHAdeMO is going away."
Fact-check anyone?
I'm a Leaf newbie, so apologies for this dumb question: Is it my imagination, or does the radio volume change automatically (ever so slightly) as you pick up speed (to compensate for road noise)?
I don't find any mention of this in the manual or in this forum, but it sure SEEMS like that's wha...
