I have ran out of juice on two occasions. first time was on purpose so I could see what would happen. I just drove around the neighborhood, then when it went to "turtle" I just drove around the block. Luckily it died just one house away from home and my neighbor who was watching me at awe helped...
Hello Des Moines!!! I live up here in Ankeny (Just north of town), and going on 2 years with my black 2013 LEAF! I also have a 16 mile commute to/from work, and the Leaf is just perfect for what I use it for. I love to talking to others who have a Leaf as well. I live about 3 blocks from the...
No, they are not trying to kill EV's. It is simply the Saudi's putting a revenue crunch on the shale producers here in North America. SA view recent activity as a full out assault on their way of life, and clearly revenue driven. They can afford to put a squeeze on for a couple years. But the...
Funny, the exact same thing happened to me earlier today at lunch. I pre-headed and when I got to the car, it was totally fogged over. However, if I remember from last fall, the colder it gets, the less fog I was getting inside when pre-heated. Really comes down to whatever the humidity is. The...
Well, all good questions. I think it depends where you are located. Here in the Des Moines area I chose to log-on to the driver app when I am downtown, or on the way home. I work in the west part of the city, and generally can pick-up a ride for someone at one of the area hotels that need a ride...
Greetings,
Back in June I signed up with Uber to do a little driving now and then. So far it has worked out great! I sign-on to the Uber driver app about 4-5 times a week, and end up with deposits of $150-200 per-week. Great way to pay for the lease, and of course I never purchase gas. Plus...
I am positive this issue has been answered on here before, but I just cant find it anywhere. I just had my tires rotated today, but the tire warning indicator is still coming on when I start the LEAF. Is there a way to turn it off, or reset for the next time a rotation is needed?
Thanks!
Hello LEAF'ers!
We are leaving town for a week and driving 600 miles away, so we will be forced to use the old gas hog ICE for the trip!
I will be leaving my LEAF for the first time without any new charging in the garage while I am gone.
My question is this....how much charge should I leave...
I use my steering wheel heat every morning. And yes, it heats up fast...then goes away after a few min. But it does cycle on and off as you drive. I have noticed at times it will automatically shut off after a certain amount of time.
I recon as such...just funny when it dings....and yes, the "snowflake" pops up as well! I think we are just a little cynical here in central Iowa, where basically its below 38 degrees from Thanksgiving till St. Paddy's Day anyway!!!
Happy LEAF'ing Day!!! :P
I am soooooooooo happy the folks at Nissan Engineering provides an indicator to let me know when the temp outside is at or below 38 degrees!!! In reality.....REALLY? We are not wise enough to figure this out? And why 38 degrees??? Why not 32, or 0, or any other temp. than 38 degrees...
