Hey folks,
My windshield now has a significant crack in it. Fortunately it's on the passenger side, but I want to get it replaced.
With the electronics in the rear view mirror, I'm wondering if I should take it to a dealer or if a regular body shop / window replacement place would be fine...
I live near Boise Idaho and with winter approaching I'm wondering about my LEAF and the cold weather.
January is our coldest month with the average high in the mid 30's (F) and the low in the mid 20's (F). However, low temps near 0 (zero F) are not out of the question and the record low is -17...
I bought my LEAF in Washington (Campbell-Nelson) which has no sales tax for an EV and got just a temporary tag. Friends trailered it to me in Nampa (near Boise, ID) and registered it here and paid ID sales tax.
Hey folks,
Work has me out of the Seattle area for the month of August when my Leaf should be delivered. I can put in for vacation time and book flights back to Seattle, but I'm hesitant to do this without more info on when.
Currently my account page shows delivery for the Week of August 5...
A few more I thought of.
GAS NOT
for rock-n-rollers
RNGONMT (running on empty)
for Sci-Fi fans
SLNTRNG (silent running)
and if you can have 8
LKMANOGS (Look Ma No Gas)
Thanx for the info about the sales tax exemption.
If I'd known that and the (IMHO) madness to Nissan's rollout method, I would have kept my Washington residency.
How about the LEAF is 'Battery Ram' a transformer that does battle with the aliens from 'Batteries Not Included'!

BTW I love this thread.
Haven't decided on the EVSE yet, just trying to decide if I can get one installed this fiscal year.
Since I won't have an EV to try it with I was just wondering how the heck I'd know if:
1. the EVSE actually works
2. the electrician's work was ummmmm complete.
