Some say charging with a 100kW charger for 15 Minutes causes less heat than charging with a 50kW charger for 30 minutes. Might be true to my experiences.
I do nearly 200 miles and the recharge ONCE for another 200 miles. Then rest/sleep. And I dont have to deal with liquid cooling and stuff. OK...
More than 80kW are not possible: 400V x 200A. The limit is the plug rated 200A. Most times I see 78kW.
If you remove "some resistors" in the 200A plug e+ can charge 102kW and faster on special Chademo chargers.
I never charge when SOC is above 80%, no topping. I only charge when necessary. Most times I charge when 1 of 12 bars are left. I always charge 100% and with 1 phase 3,6kW.
We have a 2018 40kWh battery with only 60% HX but a cell difference of only 3-4mV and with 40000 miles on the odometer and it still has 35,2kWh left. It works more than great in any conditions.
Remember there are 10kW and 20kW fast chargers as well which are harmless for your battery.
Japanese Leaf drivers often have these 10kW Leaf2home devices, which adds thousands of charges to the counter.
Closing the drivers door is "the key". :) I was stuck with 2,8kWh left. One cell was too low and instead of emptying the battery by heating and leaving windows down I drove with full heating, heated seats, heated steering, heated rear screen and after 1/4 mile with turtle I was stuck.
Same...
It was freezing for a while and we left the car at Nissan dealer with 15% SOC for a 2nd investigation.
When the Nissan dealer tried to do a test drive turtle came up and got out of the car right away.
Nissan has picked up the car for 2nd inspection of battery (note video above) today.
We...
You can't preheat anymore and not precool, you have no weather forecast and you have no traffic related navigation which works more than perfect and avoided us many problems.
Both costs you 7€/month and Nissan really tells you when they sell you the car.
We are using the onboard timer now...
I am always friendly to dealers. They deliver the results. Nissan decides, not them.
There is always time to upload to YouTube but that's bad for my Nissan stocks.
This video was made after 4 cells have been replaced and the car is at Nissan again to crosscheck.
We think two more weak cells...
In the last time I see more Leaf with derivation between soc in the dash and soc on Leaf Spy which makes our cars unreliable to drive. in other words the number which is displayed in the dash is totally different compared to Leaf Spy.
My Leaf stops at 2,8kwh and Oostenrijker Leaf stops with...
